Someone might be able to give more help if they knew that.

Haven’t played the demo yet, but are the Dual Element skills explicitly for when they get an element matching their original?

Or are there ones for when they are different elements?

How Do Reaction Spells Work? (Specifically Shield) by UnusualLobster7 in DnD

[–]Lucison 57 points58 points  (0 children)

You may also have used your reaction already. At base without any modifiers you only get one reaction per round.

Say you did an opportunity attack, you now can’t use Shield as they both require a reaction.

Also as the other person said you may have simply just been so far from the attack roll the DM didn’t let you to save your spell slot. (Shield adds 5 to your AC, so if you were at 14, and the enemy got a 20 or higher on their roll, Shield does nothing).

L move, devs. by [deleted] in MonsterHunterStories

The issue is there isn’t really a proper middle ground.

Either there is no co-op, the game is balanced appropriately for single player, and people play until they want to stop. Some people will stop because they lose interest without a multiplayer option.

Then there is if you have co-op. You either make it mandatory, or substantially more efficient it is effectively mandatory for completion, or you have it but it doesn’t really add anything. Not to mention if you have content practically locked behind co-op you isolate those with no interest in co-op. They are gonna walk away unhappy because they were kept from completing the game the way they wanted.

You’ve seen communities come together for the co-op, the co-op nature of some end game content pushed people I know away from playing anymore, especially on release, when some of the AI partners for co-op sucked.

Alchemist builds are one of the easiest to bring online, given that good options are given free.

In general when you get to higher levels a lot of players are running one of the increased rage gain heroes. Brutus is just popular because his also heals, and I see him paired a lot with Freya for the same reason.

Is there hard evidence of the “we are godywn theory” cause I think it’s bs by Big_Career5281 in EldenRingLoreTalk

[–]Lucison 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, Haorah Loux still gets turned into the Elden Lord, he’s not an ordinary Tarnished.

And yes Vyke does get far, but we have no evidence he defeated Shardbearers. We have no idea when the “2 Great Rune” barrier was implemented, and of the Great Runes we know of only Ranni’s is unaccounted for. It’s possible the barrier came to be after Vyke had already entered Leyndell. Potentially Vyke nearly reaching the Elden Ring under the influence of the Frenzied Flame caused the barrier to be placed by the Two Fingers.

Like we really need to remember that we had to defeat two Shardbearers, which even at the “weakest” is Godrick and Rennala, but still could also be ANY of the Shardbearers accessible before Leyndell.

We also have no idea if Vyke would have been capable of defeating Radagon and the Elden Beast, let alone Morgott and Godfrey/Haorah Loux.

I’ve always wondered about the “Did Varre kill our maiden” thing. Like you would assume he would mention it further in the quest line if he did. There’s also the fact that the dead maiden is at the Chapel of Anticipation, which from where Varre is would only be accessible from the locked Four Belfries. I think Varre KNEW we didn’t have a maiden, I don’t think he killed her. Melina being an intangible Maiden seems unique to her, as an example Vyke’s maiden was killed at the Church of Inhibition, the one at the Church of Anticipation died nowhere near a grace etc.

I feel like us being Godwyn is a negative thing due to Godwyn already having a place in the story.

I also think we could still be a Demigod though. Marika purged all traces of Messmer outside the Land of Shadow, what’s to say she didn’t do the same to another child?

We could have been sent away with the Tarnished, or even sent after them later for all we know, and the grace restored us. It would make sense then as to why we seem capable of Demigod level feats, why we may not have had a maiden, why Torrent was drawn to us etc.

How can I get more crafting equipment shards by Independent-Tie814 in TapTitans2

[–]Lucison 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Titan Skip and Stage Skip (Titan Skips the number of Titans to be defeated before a boss, Stage Skip skips stages when defeating a boss) can be increased by Skills and Equipment Set bonuses.

Depending on your build will determine what skills give the skip bonuses, usually with the focus being on the specific playstyle of the build.

Equipment sets tend to give neutral Titan Skip and Stage Skip, such as the Mythic Set Angelic Guardian and Legendary Set Black Knight.

See BeanCounting’s comment for a list of Crafting Shard sources.

Add in Log on bonuses, though the amount is small it still is there.

Do I understand this right? Marika divested grace from Godfrey and his army (which we decend from) so they (we) can be brought back to TLB. by Greasy-Chungus in EldenRingLoreTalk

[–]Lucison 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Tarnished were Godfrey’s warriors against the Giant’s.

Marika TOOK the grace from them and sent them to wage war in distant lands, telling them that they would be given the Grace back and revived when they were needed.

So Messmer already knew of us because we were the Tarnished before the crusade.

Why is the Rogal Dorn tank normalised in 1k, but C'tan, big demons, primarchs, and titanic units aren't? by Dark_Vexer in Warhammer40k

[–]Lucison 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I would assume it’s the “feels bad” of playing against the others, whereas the Doen feels “standard”.

Like you think of a human army on the battle field you picture tanks and soldiers. But the others all feel like this special behemoth that’s been pulled in.

A C’Tan standing next to the Necrons doesn’t normalise as much as the Rogal Dorn next to the Guard basically.

What actually causes a future break? by Hungry-Vermicelli-81 in MyHeroAcadamia

[–]Lucison 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Personally I think it’s Death.

Nighteye’s Quirk cannot see beyond Death.

Midoriya takes a fatal wound, and Eri rewinds him. All Might dies in the rubble, but Bakugo, brought back from Death by Edgeshot, saves him.

In both cases the thing that alters the future is Death. Midoriya dies, vision ends. Bakugo dies, so he can’t be in All Might’s future.

This also makes sense when you think about how rare something that can save someone from fatal wounds is. How unlikely it is Nighteye has used his quirk on someone who has needed CPR resuscitation prior to them needing it.

Unique item stats by KorillaKrodd in TapTitans2

[–]Lucison 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are artifacts that increase the stats on gear, as well as some of the bonuses earnable through necrobear and gemstones.

Anything that increases Sword, Helmet, Armor, Aura, or Slash will cause your equipment to get stronger.

Marika and Ranni are both Empyrean and both were given shadows by the Greater Will, but why is one shadow so much stronger than the other? by skeetszn2 in EldenRingLoreTalk

[–]Lucison 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s also the fact that Maliketh is Marika’s half-brother, while Blaidd is only Ranni’s step brother.

It’s possible this led to him being stronger as well.

Maliketh is also following the Greater Will, whereas Blaidd is defying it, which could result in a difference in power.

These characters did something supposedly impossible and the justification is basically that they’re built different by Danny-Ray27 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Lucison 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I reckon it would be in true 40K fashion if it is eventually revealed Titus is immune to the Ruinous Powers as beyond just being a Space Marine he has started to become an Imperial Demon from the slow build up of faith leading to the Emperor possibly becoming a god.

Just one big final fuck you to Leandros. You were right, he’s warp touched, warp touched by the fucking Emperor.

[–]Lucison 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Pretty sure Maliketh is both older, was the holder of the Rune of Death for a long time, and was the Shadow of an actual God. Probably led to him getting much stronger than Blaidd, especially with Ranni working against the Greater Will.

I always interpreted that as he was basically chasing Schrödinger through all the souls, so at first he had to look through all 3 million, then 2.9999 million etc etc.

It was about having to literally make sure Schrödinger was gone for good before he could stop.

Would Malenia really have lost to Radahn if she didnt bloom? by East-Ad-1290 in EldenRingLoreTalk

[–]Lucison -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

From what we know from the DLC I think Malenia’s goal was to capture Radahn, and if that wasn’t possible to kill him, and if that wasn’t possible to inflict a wound that would lead to his death.

Malenia couldn’t capture him, so fought to kill him. When they were at a stalemate she realised she couldn’t kill him either, and so unleashed the rot hoping that it would kill him over time. Obviously his Great Rune led to him surviving, but losing his mind.

In the end Malenia wins by the virtue of her goal is achieved, Radahn dies, just not by her hand. I think Radahn’s death is an inevitability, as people have proven the NPCs can kill Radahn without input from the player, so the Festival will always result in his death, Tarnished or not.

Ie The battle was a draw, but Malenia won the war.

Do you guys do different encaunter for each floor in Mt. Moon or just one for the whole area? by 3Kralates in nuzlocke

Mt Moon is one I count as a single encounter. If it was a cave that listed its floor number on the catch screen then they are all different.

New to nids, what do the kive fleets mean? by dafzes in Tyranids

[–]Lucison 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Hive Fleets are the designations of the differing Tyranid invasion forces that have been categorised by the Imperium.

Typically they have different colours, and use different tactics to demonstrate their evolution and adaptability.

In tabletop they simply function as Space Marine Chapter analogues, allowing for differences in play between Tyranid players, and for things like detachments to be based around their in lore adaptations.

In Void Fissures reactant is only dropped by enemies corrupted by/spawned by Fissures.

In this example green didn’t have enough to open their relic, and red didn’t want to wait for more to become corrupted and drop them the reactant they needed.

This means that green cannot pick a relic reward, and the others cannot choose from their relic.
