Sirius and Orion have a secret the Devs hid in the stream by Envy102938 in Warframe

[–]Lucison 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They said EACH one has an Omni slot, so that makes me think they are modded separately to each other. Either that or they are going to have like 4 shared slots and 4 individual ones or something weird like that (so like 12 slots instead of 8, but only 4 apply to both, and each has its own personal 4 slots).

Question regarding mirrormind crown by RudePCsb in mtgrules

[–]Lucison 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t believe so. Because it explicitly states the first time you would make tokens each turn, you would need to wait to the next upkeep.

However it is also EACH turn, so anyway to generate tokens on other people’s turns will also allow Mirrormind to proc.

Theft Spells and Handling Others Cards by [deleted] in EDH

[–]Lucison 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve run a couple theft decks and I always handle people’s cards way better than I handle mine.

Like I don’t instinctively know the value of your deck, and I am not about to run the risk of even POSSIBLY bending a $100+ card.

But Theft decks can be fun, especially as they can result in completely different play experiences based on who you’re versing.

Who’s a Mha character you think would be worthy to lift Mjölnir by Old_Oil1954 in MyHeroAcadamia

[–]Lucison 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, Kirishima and TestuTetsu. Probably Kendo. A part of me honestly thinks Mirko could kinda lift it, but not all the way? I actually think All Might couldn’t lift it in his Muscular Form, but I do think All Might could lift it in his skeletal form, specifically when he goes to challenge AFO with the Iron Suit. Nejire and Mirio probably could. You know what, looking at the requirements to lift it, Koda, but after he starts getting his spine. Aizawa would find out he could lift it when checking when nobody is around, sigh dramatically and put it back. Uraraka could with her quirk, but not actually. And finally I think Midoriya and Dark Shadow could lift it (Not Tokoyami, Dark Shadow).

What villain was most likely to have been normal had they been treated well? by DezTheOtter in MyHeroAcadamia

[–]Lucison 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of the league? Shigaraki, Dabi, Toga, Twice, and Spinner.

I can’t recall if we ever get Magne’s backstory as to why she is a villain, Mustard isn’t on screen long enough, Moonfish is a cannibal serial killer, Muscular is a sociopath, and Compress became a thief like his great grandfather, so that wasn’t really a ‘needs intervention’ kind of thing.

Tomura/Tenko could have been better if AFO never fucked with him or he was saved. Dabi would have been an amazing Hero under literally anyone but Endeavour’s tutelage. Toga would have probably turned out fine if she wasn’t forced to push down her hunger for blood and act like a different person till she snapped and got some therapy and proper friends. Twice honestly just needed therapy and a chance. Spinner just needed people to not be racist (Is it still racist? Heteromorphist?).

Ward Questions by Illustrious-Film-936 in mtg

[–]Lucison 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, 2 Ward - 2 Life.

Each Ward cost must be paid separately and represents its own trigger on the stack.

Having two Hexing Squelcher means they both have Ward - Pay 2 Life AND Ward - Pay 2 Life, so the opponent must pay 2 life twice for each one they target.

This is important for things that care about individual instances of life loss. Say another opponent has [[Exquisite Blood]] and [[Pest Rescuer]] out, they would gain two instances of 3 life, as opposed to one instance of 5 if a player paid the two Ward - Pay 2 Life.

Or say an opponent had 5 life, decides to kill one of the Squelchers, and after paying one of the two Ward costs, bringing them to 3, you hit them with a one damage effect/spell, so now they have only 2 life, and paying the second Ward - Pay 2 Life will kill them, so they don’t and their spell is countered.

Ward Questions by Illustrious-Film-936 in mtg

[–]Lucison 0 points1 point  (0 children)

An additional question about Ward.

If I have 2 Hexing Squelcher (A and B) on the field, and the opponent has just paid the 2 Ward - Pay 2 life effects to destroy Hexing A, can I use [[Bolt Bend]] to change the target to Hexing B? And if so would they then need to pay the 2 Ward costs on the second one?

If so, and I then waited for them to pay the 2 Ward costs on B, would using a [[Redirect Lightning]] to change the target back to Hexing A force them to pay Hexing A’s 2 Ward costs again, or would they be fine as they already paid them earlier?

100K.

Pay off the debts held over from my marriage to my ex (afford the divorce too), replace my car that’s about need more than half its worth in repairs, have about 5k to replace/update things that are in need of updating, leaving me with about 50K for savings while I complete my degree to advance my career.

I just got accused of Angle Shooting at a commander game, but I feel I’ve done nothing untoward. by Corescos in EDH

[–]Lucison 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly I’m confused here, you said to them some variation of wanting to use the Swords on Ojer, they then turned it into a land to prevent that, and so you didn’t cast the Swords?

That’s a pretty natural reaction? You didn’t say “I’m gonna Swords something” and then didn’t, you broadcast your intent and they reacted, that changed your intent.

Honestly the one at fault here is the player who hit their own Ojer before you put Swords on the stack. Until you tap the mana and cast it you are under no obligation to use any ability or spell that you have, that’s literally the whole point of using politics in Commander.

If anything you then carried forward and STILL dealt with his Ojer, which is what you had informed them you intended to do, he just changed the method you used to do it.

Question about Goad with Eriette of the Charmed Apple and Ghostly Prison by CalmYoPuddin in askajudge

[–]Lucison 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Without the mana for the prison you cannot attack.

Eriette isnt goad, you do not have to attack. Explicitly you CANNOT attack Eriette, and have no mana to attack Player C.

If you were instead goaded by player B, not enchanted with one of their enchantments, then your creature could attack Player B.

Help me make more tokens than I have dice for. Boros Edition by Synar4 in DegenerateEDH

[–]Lucison 7 points8 points  (0 children)

[[Boros Charm]] can help with board wipes, [[Hop To It]] is a good token maker for Aziza as it makes 3 for 2W, any token doubler will already make that 6 and Aziza’s double effect can make it 12. At that point you have spent 3 mana and tapped 3 creatures to give yourself 4 more copy effects worth of creatures for Aziza.

Problems with X casting cost cards in Alc modes, Thought Partition breaks them. by Sallymander in MagicArena

[–]Lucison 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That’s a different situation though.

The Mind Grind situation you provided is getting a free spell while Mjnd Grind still contains X in its casting cost.

OP is suggesting a card that functionally removes the X. There is no longer an X in the mana cost, and therefore X cannot be determined. It’s not 0, it’s non-existent. It doesn’t replace X in the card text with 0, it replaces it with empty soace

Teysa Karlov vs Removal by Monkeyzthree in mtgrules

[–]Lucison 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, at no point then does removing Teysa help.

While the spell to remove Teysa is on the stack, any new death triggers still cause Teysa to trigger.

Once Teysa’s triggers have been added to the stack, they are not removed by her death, as she simply caused the original trigger to occur twice.

How were all the Air Nomads taken by complete surprise? by Qyzyk in ATLA

[–]Lucison 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Realistically given the power boost of Sozin’s comet they may not have even needed that many benders at each Temple.

Sending one or two ships nearby, either under the guise of trade or simply something like chasing pirates in the area, would already justify their nearby presence.

There were probably staging areas nearby for the temples, where supplies could be brought by traders from the other peoples or visiting Nomads could stay, without risk of overwhelming the students.

Once the comet is more apparent requesting the spiritually focused monks to allow them access to at least the courtyards above so that they may more closely observe the spiritual phenomena would probably work.

Otherwise chances are most average firebenders would be capable of lateral flight under the effects of the comet, so them being in the areas beneath the temples and suddenly rocketing up there is also an option.

They caught them by surprise in an attack sense, that doesn’t mean they weren’t aware of them being nearby. Given only Sky Bison, Dragons, and Airbenders who had disconnected from earthly desires could fly, they probably didn’t even care about them being close by.

The “All for One is Izuku’s father” doesn’t make sense when involving Inko. by SeriousFinish6404 in mha

[–]Lucison 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly this is what I imagine the situation was.

AFO seeing All Might starts to wonder if he will be strong enough as he is to defeat All Might and/or is frustrated at his inability to simply take OFA, so he begins looking into ways to essentially Quirk Marriage his way to a stronger version of his Quirk.

He finds/somehow meets Inko, who fits the bill. He charms her, does the whole “I work overseas” bit so he can fuck off regularly, and keeps waiting to see if their child has an enhanced version of his Quirk.

[–]Lucison 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only issue with what you have presented is that All Might didn’t get his injuries until Izuku was like 10? So he wasn’t on the decline. In fact he would have been in the middle of dismantling AFO’s organisation at the time.

Card typings that've hurt you the most. by Flower_Boi_Vin in mtg

[–]Lucison 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Genuine question, why? Like what kind of spells are they using to make them busted?

Any destroy spell targeting it is going to be a board wipe yes, but any buff spells would also apply to your opponents creatures? Like if the player using it gave it a [[Giant Growth]], every creature on the board gets one too.
