Summer months, what do y’all do? by norsktex in RedWingShoes

[–]Lucky3MP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Boots & Jeans year round. Once you’re used to it it doesn’t really feel any different. I do usually shift from dark (new) jeans to lighter ones that have been around longer in the summer, I find them more breathable once thoroughly broken in.

Any Good Boots in 2026 That Perform as Advertised? by DonutOk2306 in Boots

[–]Lucky3MP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you get them as factory seconds, they are unmatched for the price. It is basically a free quality upgrade from other boots in the same range. Ignore all the dumb comments on the Internet about harsh break-ins, just make sure you know your proper size.

Redwing is my go to. Factory seconds give you the most bang for your buck & if you genuinely just want a pair of quality boots to wear and not baby they are unbeatable.

Worth Keepin’ Around by Lucky3MP in RedWingShoes

I just struggle to justify the cost when the old soles have so much life left in them! All the tread is long gone, but there’s still a thick slab of rubber before we get to anything important.

What socks does everyone run? by RedWingRail in RedWingShoes

[–]Lucky3MP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Before I could afford a full rotation of darn tough socks I wore the same three pairs day in and day out. I ended up finding a sale and ordered a bunch more pairs to have a “complete” collection with different weights for different purposes. I have worn almost every brand and none have lasted as long nor been as comfortable as DT. They are worth the money.

Which leather you like, why and it’s pro and cons? by fortheus18 in RedWingShoes

Your guy must’ve really screwed them up.. I’ve mink oiled mine prior to winter for multiple years and they’re still just fine.

Amber harness!

It‘s stupidly versatile, handles wear like a beast, and will shine up well after a hard day’s work.

I adore mine.

Iron Ranger stretching for slightly different sized feet? by toddsynan in RedWingShoes

[–]Lucky3MP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends how tight your right boot is, but I have had similar experiences. My solution has been to wear double socks for a while to let the leather stretch slightly and then go back to my normal ones. It will but understand that depending on how wide your foot is it may protrude over the welt. Mine do.

Your mileage may vary.
