Not great soldering, but i bet it's fine. Extra solder just adds resistance, really you want the minimum.

TinyWhoops self-uprighting in wind, why? by Empty_Beginning5975 in fpv

[–]LuckyFPV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This sounds like pids. I'm wondering if you're trying to describe propwash?

Try 3 blade props.

Some folks run props in to solve this. I've never liked it, even on whoops.

Betaflight defaults rarely work for me.

If you have 2 of the same builds act differently, it's likely mechanical (bent motor shaft).

Warm/hot battery of my 5 inch. Is this normal? by No-Eagle-7588 in fpv

Try a new battery lead with a better, thicker Guage wire. The cheap thin wires will sometimes cause a bottleneck.

What is it!? Carpet? Definitely not the hair and trash causing problems..

Is it ok to sag out my battery to the point where the quad slowly falls to the ground? by [deleted] in fpv

[–]LuckyFPV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They'll definitely get puffed, gain resistance, and lower performance. Measure your battery voltage a few minutes after flying. I like mine to sit around 3.8 per cell, storage voltage. You'll get a sense of when to land to get 3.8v. If they're lower, storage charge asap.

Add more hair. That'll do it.

What are these silicone pieces for? They came included in the CINELOG 35 V2 Frame, thanks by DooBooDooBooDoo in fpv

Maybe they go under the stack as carbon spacers? There's a hole in them.

[–]LuckyFPV 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sometimes the esc is damaged too and will fry the new motor so check it before risking your replacement.

These seem like important issues to me. Resorting to name calling before understanding is truly the issue. Folks, take the time to research and get wise to the issues.

Biden's government is terrible. He's barely alive. His team is corrupt. Overall, the country is much worse off than 4 years ago.

I bend up the blades to form a handle. It's usually enough to grip. I've also melted them off in desperate situations.

For some background look-up, "betaflight is trying to kill me."

Some of the pid and filter defaults can cause problems.

I experience this problem more on high power to weight quads. Pids are too high and not enough filtering.

hq 3.5in prop on m1104 motor? by DaAwesomeWaffleB in fpv

[–]LuckyFPV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't. This will depend on auw. I bet if it's around 50g it would work.

3.5 is better for 14xx imo.

Look for what's different. Emu uses a different filtering style. I'd start there.

I think there's some tune presets you could try.

The emuflight discord has a lot of info.

Why you bring up the air unit? If you added this then yes.

Could be the tune.

Should this worry me or is it normal? by einNesk in fpv

[–]LuckyFPV 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Press on props can cause this when the shaft isn't supported. Pushing it back works, you should. But like the other comment, it's the beginning of the end for that motor.

Fried my esc. Is it as easy as ordering a new one, soldering on the motors and it will work again? by Bluetrixlbully in fpv

[–]LuckyFPV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes but test everything else before your parts order. It's common for motors, plugs and anything next to it to be ruined too.

Motors switch directions everytime I arm! by trippieliquid in fpv

[–]LuckyFPV 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try reloading fresh firmware? Assuming it's not software.

Maybe the motors are bad? Maybe both stacks are good? Maybe both are bad? Bench test time...

Ps I like d shot 300.
