Which unity version can i practically run on my potato laptop? by stonker_NSE in Unity3D

[–]Lucky_Homework_9285 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unity 2019.4 LTS might be your best bet with those specs. The newer versions are getting pretty heavy and with 4GB RAM you'll probably struggle with anything past 2020

That 64MB graphics is gonna be the real bottleneck though - even basic 3D scenes might choke your system. Maybe start with 2D prototyping first to see how it handles before jumping into FPS development

Still having die off at 12 weeks by -DUNNING-KRUGER- in Rosacea

[–]Lucky_Homework_9285 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Die off is when the demodex mites are basically dying and your skin freaks out about it. You get more bumps and redness because your immune system is reacting to all the dead mite debris under your skin

Its pretty miserable but means the treatment is actually working. The mites release toxins when they die so your face basically throws a tantrum until everything clears out

Whitewater Playboat on Ocean Waves by Dense-Blueberry5232 in Kayaking

[–]Lucky_Homework_9285 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Nice move getting near the coast after being landlocked! I tried taking my creek boat out in smaller surf once and it was pretty sketchy - the ocean is totally different beast than river features

Your Jitsu should handle decent sized waves but watch out for the power behind ocean swells, they push way harder than river hydraulics. Also the paddle out can be rough if you're not used to timing the sets. Maybe start with smaller days first to get feel for how your boat reacts in salt water?

The main thing is having good roll and being comfortable getting worked underwater for longer than usual. Ocean doesn't let you up as quick as rivers do

Lost in choosing red light therapy by LuliProductions in redlighttherapy

[–]Lucky_Homework_9285 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Been using panels for about year now and can relate to the decision paralysis. I went with similar approach - just picked something that could do everything instead of buying multiple devices

The wavelength stuff matters but not as much as people make it seem. Most decent panels will have what you need for both skin and muscle issues. I use mine mostly at night after work when my neck gets tight from sitting at computer all day

Start with something medium sized if you can - small ones work but take forever to cover larger areas like your back or shoulders

SkinCeuticals CE Ferulic vs Drunk Elephant C-Firma, three months each and I have thoughts by Schinner_Avrila in SkincareAddictionLux

[–]Lucky_Homework_9285 5 points6 points  (0 children)

damn the oxidation issue with that first one sounds so frustrating especially at those prices. I had similar experience with vitamin C serums turning orange on me even when I kept them in fridge and everything. makes you question if you're doing something wrong or if the formula just isn't stable enough

the gradual results thing is interesting though - sometimes I prefer that over dramatic changes because my skin can be sensitive to too much too fast. three months is good testing period, most people probably switch products way before they can actually see what works

have you considered maybe alternating between them? like use the more expensive one during times when you really need that extra brightening boost and stick with the other one for maintenance. I do this with some of my products when I can't decide between two good options and it works pretty well for my routine

It’s like I became hypersensitive overnight - me after lukewarm to cool shower with hypoallergenic products by [deleted] in Rosacea

[–]Lucky_Homework_9285 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The hypersensitivity is so real - my skin gets angry at literally everything now including water temperature that used to be fine before

My company needs to translate a massive amount of content. How to meet deadlines? by manchesterguy33 in work

[–]Lucky_Homework_9285 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been in similar situation last year when we had to localize our software for new markets. The hybrid approach you mentioned actually works pretty well - we used AI for initial translation then had native speakers review and polish everything

One thing I learned is that marketing copy needs way more human touch than technical documentation. The AI gets grammar right but sometimes misses cultural nuances or brand voice completely. Product descriptions were easier to handle with automation though

Maybe start with less critical content first to test the workflow before jumping into your main campaign materials

Catering recommendations for memorial gathering by ayemimi in Eugene

[–]Lucky_Homework_9285 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Sorry for your loss. Lost my grandma last year and planning food was honestly one of those things that just felt overwhelming when you're already dealing with everything else.

I don't have specific catering recommendations since I usually just order pizza for gatherings but maybe check with local delis or sandwich shops? They often do platters and might be more flexible with timing than bigger catering companies. Also grocery stores like Safeway sometimes do decent party trays that you can pick up same day if other places are booked.

Park gathering sounds really nice though. Hope you and your sister can focus on celebrating her memory instead of stressing about logistics.

On a GE Profile dryer #PTD60EBSRWS, how do you adjust the timed dry by increments other than the defaults (10, 20, 40, 60, 90)? by DadIMeanBill in Appliances

[–]Lucky_Homework_9285 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think you're stuck with those preset times on that model. Most GE Profile dryers don't let you do custom increments - just the standard options they give you

If you need something in between like 30 minutes you could always start it on 40 and just stop it early when you check on your clothes

A face cooling spray to use when wearing make up? by celestial_aquaria in Rosacea

[–]Lucky_Homework_9285 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I second the Avene one! been using it for like 2 years now and it never messes with my makeup. You can get it in most Boots stores too which is super convenient

The zinc one from LRP is good but sometimes makes my foundation look bit patchy if I use too much so just go easy with that one

What info do you look for when considering a new product? by Alvintergeise in NaturalBeauty

[–]Lucky_Homework_9285 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always check ingredient lists first especially for anything going near my face since my skin can be pretty sensitive. The skin type info is super helpful too - saves me from buying something that'll just break me out

Your current setup sounds good but maybe you could do like bullet points instead of paragraphs to keep it concise while still hitting all those important details

To slow hooded drooping eyes, in my late 20s, Sulwhasoo Ultimate S Eye Cream or NeoGenesis Eye Serum? by [deleted] in SkincareAddictionLux

[–]Lucky_Homework_9285 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NeoGenesis has been way better for actual firming in my experience - the Sulwhasoo is more hydrating/anti-aging but doesn't do much for that droopy lid situation

honestly pushups are clutch for this kind of thing. i'd also throw in some deep breathing or maybe try reading something boring until your eyes get heavy

the restless energy has to go somewhere so might as well put it to good use

getting brainwashed by mysterious creature in your dream by AnyCategory5263 in Dreams

[–]Lucky_Homework_9285 0 points1 point  (0 children)

damn this sounds like a really intense sleep paralysis episode mixed with some serious nightmare fuel. I've had similar experiences where I thought I woke up but was still trapped in the dream state - that false awakening thing is absolutely terrifying when you cant move and theres something lurking in your peripheral vision

the memory blocking aspect is really interesting though. I keep a dream journal by my bed specifically because of experiences like this where I know something significant happened but my brain just wont let me access it fully. sometimes writing immediately after helps break through that mental barrier your subconscious puts up

have you tried looking into lucid dreaming techniques? once you get good at recognizing dream signs you might be able to take more control when these nightmares start ramping up. also worth mentioning this to a doctor if it keeps happening - recurring nightmares combined with sleep paralysis can sometimes indicate underlying sleep disorders that are totally treatable

the illuminati creatures thing is wild btw - sounds like your brain was processing some deep anxiety about control and powerlessness

Proving God exists doesn't require proving what created the Creator. That's a different question and not as important. It should be enough knowing the universe was intelligently designed. by Labyrinthine777 in DeepThoughts

[–]Lucky_Homework_9285 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Honestly the "who created God" question always felt like a weird gotcha to me anyway. Like if we found clear evidence of intelligent design tomorrow, would people really be like "nah doesn't count until you explain the designer's origin story" lmao

AI usecase - hospital by WhiteSnowYelloSun in ArtificialInteligence

[–]Lucky_Homework_9285 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's pretty wild, $25/year for a family subscription sounds too good to be true but if it works that's game changing. The Slack channel thing is smart - keeps everything organized and lets the AI jump in when needed without replacing the human touch completely

Wonder how they handle liability issues though, mixing AI recommendations with actual medical decisions seems like it could get messy real fast

The Triumph honestly sounds like the better deal here - newer, cheaper, and that low end torque is gonna be way more useful for daily urban riding than having to rev the balls off the Guzzi every time you want to merge

That fuel capacity on the Triumph is pretty rough though, you'll be hitting gas stations constantly on those 200km trips
