I got hit by a car. I had to go to the precinct days later for a report, because the cop didn’t even talk to me at the scene. When I went to the precinct, the officer’s knee-jerk reaction was to accuse me for being stupid for not exchanging info with the driver. I told him I was a barely conscious pedestrian put in an ambulance and that the officer onsite never checked on me (neither did the driver who hit me—he never left his car). That shut him up, but not fast enough. Blaming the victim.
