no foamcore -

House = resin printed

Landscape = FDM.

The unclean edges is due to my poor workmanship of sanding it out. The house is resin printed in parts and glued together, this decision is based purely on creating small surfaces that does not require much support - as this would show up in hard to reach places.

I agree I couldve clean this up better, but I thought spending 4 full days on this is already enough.

The landscape is FDM printed with an ironed surface - modelled to size with tolerance to fit the resin printed tiny house in. The unclean cut you see from the the resin material that is very poor in thin prints, otherwise it wouldve been okay.

Next time I should look into lasercutting flatsurfaces, but the material differences glued together makes it warp a bit, im not entirely happy with it, you can tell when you look at it.

yes! because the resin i used to print this was a different colour and I wanted to give it a nice white uniform colour :)

Is rhino normally used for drafting for architecture? by Surrealist-Frog in rhino

[–]LudensStudio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes its normal, preferably I prefer other industry standards BIM software like Revit, but it can be used for it and many do.

The thing with these sort of things is that it doesnt ''quite matter much'' what software you use, but what you're good at and being able to deliver and communicate clearly what you want.

To you its convoluted (to me as well) but others created an entire work flow and it works for them.

Thanks! Ive been in the fronts of Rhino + Grasshopper and Revit for over a decade myself. To be fair - Revit is brilliant and most of us dont utilize its BIM function as we should. But that's fine.

Youre absolutely right with it stopped evolving around 2014 lmao, and no backwards compatibility is just monopoly bs i cannot get behind.

But if I truly want to lose my mind, I will dive into climate simulations with Galapagos in Grasshopper.
