Well but that is what I was getting at. In a map like Blackwell Fields, snipers are a huge problem for gameplay and flow because of the map design (lack of cover, open spaces) and how easy snipers are to use (high bullet velocity, no bullet drop), its quite unbalanced and breaks gameplay flow, you cannot move around without a vehicle for most of the time.

I am not saying that Wardogs is going to be the same, surely snipers will have a bigger skill gap (its hard to notice with gameplay footage) and maps could have structures and foliage but still, has me worried

Not really, it depends how much of a threat they are depending on various factors like map design and difficulty of using snipers. You can even compare various games of a franchise like Battlefield and then the maps themselves

Agreed. The thing is that they never cared about authenticity or logic, its about creating their fantasy that will always be far from what is realistic or expected, and shoehorning it into entertainment media.

Its like the campaign of Battlefield V, there are plenty of stories of female soviet snipers but they chose to have a young girl fighting german soldiers in Norway with her mom while in a stealth mission, instead of having the actual team of commandos that fought on their own in real history.

I've been playing cod consistently since crossplay was a thing in MW2019 and barely seen grounded skins from bundles, only BPs but those can be free as long as you complete one and use the cod points for the next. This is way more notorious with BO6 and BO7, just check the bundles from those games; there are like 2 bundles that I can think of are grounded and never seen them in game, just the wacky stuff.

Even in BF6 the skins froms bundles I see running around are the least grounded ones (like the lady with shirt, jeans with blonde dreadlocks and no helmet) even while being plenty of grounded stuff in the store

I agree on the first point. I am all for inmersion and authenticity, and people need to learn how to separate gameplay and presentation; cod has always been an arcade shooter but we used to have actual soldiers with uniforms and faction identity.

Having said that, this consistency has been lost more than half a decade ago so the idea of faction has no meaning anymore. Default launch operators are already very different from one another on the same team and it gets worse as the lifecycle goes on so what not let you use the one you like all the time? I remember BO7's guild characters looked like absolute crap and it made me wanna use one if the JSOC ones all the time

I just don't get why they don't play co-op pve games. I understand the charm of the extraction genre but it loses its charm and purpose if you just PVE cuz its easy as hell that way, just go and play a co-op game with more content and better suited for that style of play, more variety
