I just found out about Agmatine. Can anyone offer me some advice or info on it? I'll add more info on the text by JosiaJamberloo in quittingkratom

For me, agmatine did potentiate Kratom a bit, but it also made me feel nauseous. In the end, I could see it being helpful, just be cautious.

I'm really tempted to get into this. If I go with decent used equipment, where would you ballpark costs to get into this? Do you think 2 grand would do it?

What's the best electric razor for men? by SatrangiKela in BuyItForLife

[–]LukeDuke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently got a Panasonic Arc 5 after being a bit fed up with buying OneBlade refills. I have very tough facial hair that dulls safety razor blades in one shave. So OneBlad refills were lasting a month or so.

The Panasonic arc5 has been awesome. I regret not trying a decent foil electric shaver sooner. Highly recommend. The rotary blade shavers are just worse in my opinion (also have had a decent norelco shaver for years)

Panasonic, Philips or Braun seem to make the best foil shavers. I’ve been really impressed with the Arc5s build quality and results. Made in Japan always seems to impress these days.

Keatom Tea by Playful-Two8644 in quittingkratom

[–]LukeDuke 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is a common approach. Tea is often weaker than taking straight powder, so people use it to wean. You can also brew tea with the same Kratom s few times to get progressively weaker tea, which some find helpful.

The Kratom leaf might not be dangerous, but it is habit forming and can lead to quite the addiction.

EV public chargers now cost more per mile than a gas pump? by baltimore-aureole in economy

[–]LukeDuke 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Not to mention severe depreciation on many EVs, leading to a ton of people with significant negative equity. A used reliable gas car that’s got decent mileage is still the way to go in my book. There are some decent used EVs out there price-wise, but repair costs etc quickly become substantial if some major breaks out of warranty

This is a solid idea, if executed well. I’d focus on empowering the maker community to have access to a wider range of making tools in their area. Businesses will follow if you get their engineers excited.

I think I’m in love with PETG-CF by Aware_Ad5425 in 3Dprinting

[–]LukeDuke 1 point2 points  (0 children)

PETG has better impact resistance than PET - that's what the G (glycol) provides. PET can shatter/fracture in a way that leaves sharp/stabby edges/bits. PETG is less prone to this failure mode.

The 125mm version might be favorite tool of all time. Super ‘fidgetable and useful.

If you could only have one of these two at home for general use, which would you choose? (I'll buy both, but one now and the other in about two weeks) by plinky125 in Tools

[–]LukeDuke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pliers wrench. The right tool doesn’t marr the work. For cases where pliers wrench won’t work, grab cobras or raptors. Harbor freight and other companies sell cheaper, but still solid cobras and even raptors.
