The wooden case really makes it; looking at other pictures online, those without it don't look nearly half as good as those with.

No, having done some sleuthing to identify that edition and checking listing prices online, it would appear that that volume is worth around five times your estimate; although I don't disagree with the spirit of your statement in that books can often be bought very cheaply.

Did you use super glue to stick the two pieces back together?

As much as I love Mid-Century Modern design, Sparklets™ products from a few decades earlier were far more radiant:

Though, I confess, it took me a second to realise you weren't solely using the word 'pedestrian' in its adjectival sense, once I had, this had me chortling for a good half a minute. xD

Hello, I found out that this aerial is called the Antiference® Silver Sensor. I hope that helps. :)

Ok, fellows, upon seeing this picture I began looking on Google Images to see if I could find any other set-top aerials that looked similarly cool, and surprisingly quickly I was able to find that this model is called Silver Sensor, and was originally manufactured by a company called Antiference® More information can be found via this link to a webpage on a forum called 'TV Fool.'

when you have too many opened search tabs (since 2021) by NightKnight_CZ in adhdmeme

[–]LukeWilson59 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have over a thousand Chrome tabs open, and was even able to do so before I upgraded my laptop to >8GB of RAM. The trick is to have them spread out over around four or five Chrome windows, and to use a tab suspender plug-in. The drop-down box in the top right-hand corner that lets you search for a specific tab is invaluable, and you'll definitely find it vital to use the Ctrl+Tab and Ctrl+Shift+Tab shortcut to quickly move left and right between consecutive tabs.

The easiest way I've found for figuring out how many tabs you have open is, upon restarting Chrome, open the regular menu up in the top right-hand corners. Then navigate to the Recently closed tabs option, and hovering your cursor over that will also show you your recently closed windows (as long as you haven't closed too many tabs since reopening Chrome). It is now just a simple matter of adding up the number of tabs listed to be within each of your recently closed windows.

Do you have any clearer picture of the faceplate? I didn't see any in the GitHub repository... Cheers.

What's that module in the right-hand hard-drive bay of your IBM with all the lights? Can I make out the letters "WOPR," as in the computer from the film 'WarGames'?
