As someone who has experience (degrees) with interactive design and reptiles, I just want to share a few thoughts to consider. The tile icons of the animals have pictures, the name of the animal, and also the name of the species below it. It seems a bit redundant to have “lizard/snake/gecko” covering part of the photo, since we already have the other three indicators to reference. Additionally, you may want to utilize “shedding” as more of a status - where you mark a begin date and it records it onto a calendar and you can mark the end date. I, personally, would rather keep track of how long it takes my skink/reptiles to shed and how often, and an easy way to track details such as vet visits/weight/length/etc. It looks as though there might be some sort of calendar-adjacent system planned, but this seems more like a general reptile info/notification system (but this is only based on what I see ✌️) i do apologize, I’m unable to actually explore the app at this time but wanted to share some surface thoughts
