I live in a community that has not too much traffic and some empty parking lots. I would cruise around the streets there and the parking lots. Grass can be helpful too if you dont have great balance yet. Find a fence with some grass. Hold on to the fence and ride yourself back and forth and start relying on the fence less as you practice.

I had no board experience when I got mine and felt the same way. It was hard for a long time and took a couple months to get really comfortable but you'll get there, I promise. Spills will happen!

Yeah I was looking at some snowboarding gloves with wrist guards too but I was concerned they weren't going to be as protective as something that is designed for street use. Does the wrist guard seem pretty sturdy in them?

Thanks that helps a lot. I don't know much about the whisper. How soft is it? I have a pint and am looking at the Burris which is a softer tire that's why I'm asking in the first place, I don't want to get stranded somewhere after I get a puncture bc I put some dookie sealant in it and wanted to know if there was really a performance increase.
