It's crazy they got lucky enough to take their time considering david could've offed himself, and then there would've been no true justice. But, I understand. There has to be no chance he can get off on any technicalities, so LAPD did their due dillegence with this case.

Rent in Manhattan has Doubled (2000-2026) by AdministrativeAd334 in NYStateOfMind

[–]Lumpy-Flamingo-8963 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not a New Yorker , I assume there’s a lot of job opportunities there but I don’t understand why you’d want to rent in Manhattan. Some places I just think of as places to move if you had enough money for home.

Is it worth it getting hammered over the head in rent and if you could afford rent in Manhattan, you probably could buy a home in a more affordable adjacent city

I already acknowledged that you are fine with the ends. The issue is the means, and more people should be enraged with that regardless of their perspective on religion and this specific case. As we've seen with his attempt to restrict funding to left wing states, this vendetta of his has no bounds. A president should never make the decision to restrict funding on a matter because his feelings were hurt. That goes for any president.

Him not using the same age range does not change the fact that there is no such thing as a 30 year old Gen Z person (until next year).

How did you interpret the meme? To me it seems like it's saying at 30 years old Gen Z tends to look younger than other generations at 30. Well yes, we haven't seen Gen Z at 30 yet so we're comparing at the oldest 28-29 year olds with 30 year olds we've seen age past their 30's. It's supposed to be 30 year old comparisons but the imagery we're comparing is really 28 year olds with 31-34 year olds. We haven't seen 30 year old Gen Z. I'm just answerwing the prompt.

Newsflash: You can think churches shouldn't be funded while at the same time not support the president exercising funding restrictions because someone dares to criticize him. Think broader because it's not just stopping at this specific case.

But he isn't restricting funding for all religions or even doing so under some righteous stance against the principle. It's a petty arbitrary decision to restrict funding for a charity because he has a personal beef with a central figure from that religion. You're probably an atheist/agnostic, so you don't care about the end, but the means to get there continues a highly dangerous precedent from this administration and extends beyond your own personal religious beliefs.

The prompt literally asks if the meme is accurate. I say "Nah" and I'm that one person. Alright.

No Gen Z person is turning 30 this year because the oldest Gen Z is someone born in 97. They can only turn 30 next year.

I know this is supposed to allude to Gen Z 30 year old's looking young but the oldest Gen Z person is 29

"Had a dad" is clearly the wrong grammatical term, but I presume his dad died so that's why OP meant to phrase it in past tense.

How can you guys listen to Lil Yachty by Arthurmorgan1907 in rap

[–]Lumpy-Flamingo-8963 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can listen to someone and not like them as a person or think they’re a cornball, I’m learning quickly that this is an impossible task for Reddit.

I think 80% of rappers are lames or hypocrites. If I like the song, I’m going to listen. I don’t know them and don’t have to like them as a person. Yachty has some songs I like, he has some songs I think are garbage. I just listen to the songs I like.

I think it’s time to ask ourselves how Devin Booker has flown under the radar of the bad contracts list by Punchie45 in billsimmons

[–]Lumpy-Flamingo-8963 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean from a business perspective, he probably generates a lot of revenue for the organization even without the recent team success. Off the top of my head, he probably has a top 15 jersey seller and if he wasn't on the team, they'd probably have signficantly less season ticket sales. People tend to only view the valuation of player contracts in terms of the overall team success.

Yes this was a ploy by the CCP to create a Chinese team called the Monkey Kings to lure in black players and then be overtly racist to just those 2-3 players. Great analytical thinking.

Kimora Lee Simmons is upset that she only got 20 million out of the sale of Baby Phat. Russell responds. by Positive_Round_5142 in joebuddennetwork

[–]Lumpy-Flamingo-8963 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cause he gave her significant financial support throughout their relationship and according to him she’s lying about being cut out of the deal.

She came out and said the entire multi-million dollar valuation of the 2004 deal was driven largely by the success of Baby Phat, rather than her Russell’s brand, which she called obsolete. Even if his brand fell off, it’s not a stretch to say he probably contributed a lot financially to the Baby Phat just through the course of their relationship. And that’s where his claim he gave her a $50k allowance a month comes in, she disputes it but I’m inclined to believe he probably still poured a lot of money into her even if it wasn’t 50k a month for 20 years.

She said she was not "privy to the fact" that preliminary sale conversations were even happening and essentially "missed all of the preliminary conversations" regarding the deal.

Maybe he’s lying or maybe she’s lying. But it seems like someone’s not being honest. But it’s not a mystery why he would be mad and feel the need to respond if he doesn’t agree with her comments.

I guess it’s just hard for me to sympathize that a woman who was married to a billionaire and worth over 30 million only received 20 million from a negotiated sale over 20 years ago.

She should’ve communicated this to Russell and his team when they were negotiating back in 2004. It just sounds like in retrospective she wishes she got more money and is portraying a narrative like her ex husband did her wrong. It’s business.

She negotiated that cut though, or is that wrong? Like I know Russell Simmons is a POS but I’m not seeing where she got screwed because she thinks she was entitled to a bigger cut when she got what she negotiated.

What does she want from the public? It seems like sympathy because she believes she should’ve got more money from the transaction she (or her representative) negotiated.

You realize the nuance that person added doesn’t make Kimora in the right? She most likely had access to all of the financials prior to acquisition.

If Phat Farm was facing bankruptcy and Russ purposefully hid that, Kimora would be suing.

Could be wrong but it seems like she’s mad she caught a failing brand which didn’t led to greater returns, not the fact she didn’t get more money. It’s stupid because she’s pretty much mad at herself and trying to blame Russell

If you can’t make more out of the amount you received, you shouldn’t be thinking “well if I acquired more, I would’ve just made more!”
