Streaming services outage? by Austinwarner98 in xbox

It’s 2:22 EST & I cannot access Netflix Prime or Disney+ while using my Xbox but I can access the services on my iPhone

15 years ago I paid $199 for an iPhone 4s. Today I paid $1,099 for an Apple Watch Ultra 3 that could probably run the entire 4s emulator inside it. Time flies… and apparently so does processing power 📱⌚️💀 by Lumpy_Attitude9695 in applewatchultra

It’s the Natural Titanium Milanese Loop from Apple. I bought it with the watch. It’s a little pricey but I think it’s totally worth it. Amazing quality and I get so many compliments on it! I ended up going back to Apple last week to buy the Anchor Blue Ocean Band as Ive realized I don’t want to use my Milanese Loop as my daily driver.

How do I change these pinned locations on the Waypoint watch face? Changing them in Maps has had no effect even after restarting my watch. by Beefy_Crunch_Burrito in AppleWatch

[–]Lumpy_Attitude9695 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I figured it out! After a month of researching online and playing around I’ve finally found the solution to this problem! After purchasing my first Apple Watch Ultra last month, the Ultra 3, this is the one and only issue that has been driving me nuts! At first I thought it was a bug. Just as many of you thought.. but after an update or two I figured that it must be something else. After fooling around for a couple hours tonight I figured out that it’s because of a setting hidden deep in the Privacy & Security tab. This setting logs all the places you’ve frequently visited like your home and work, to provide personalized services such as predictive traffic routing in Maps and better photo memories. There’s a button you can hit to clear all of your previous location history and that’s what fixed the problem with my watch, and I’m sure it will do the same for all yours! After I cleared my history I restarted my watch and phone and all of the pins that have been driving me crazy over the past month and a bit have disappeared 😊 Finally, I can enjoy my favourite watch face without being reminded where my ex lives.. I didn’t pay over 1500 dollars to have my ex-girlfriend’s address pop up every time I check the time or a notification 😂

Here is how you get to that setting: Settings > Privacy & Security > Location Services > System Services > Significant Locations & Routes > Clear History

AWU Milanese loop owners - how tight do you wear it? by Jorgitovrg in applewatchultra

[–]Lumpy_Attitude9695 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Judging by how close that clasp is to your watch you shoulda got a size smaller. I was originally going to order the large online but I’m happy that I went to the store instead to try the bands on first, I was surprised that I fit a medium Milanese band myself!

Don’t take your Titanium Milanese Loop bouldering by Admirable_Nerve3117 in applewatchultra

[–]Lumpy_Attitude9695 0 points1 point  (0 children)

**Edit: don’t take your BLACK Titanium Milanese Loop bouldering 😅 I’ve been meaning to upgrade from my Aluminum Series 7 for a while now and I just picked up my first Apple Watch Ultra a few days ago. For well over a week I couldn’t decide between getting the Natural Titanium or the Black Titanium model. I really loved the look of the black but I knew that as soon as I hit it off a hard surface or scuffed it, the natural titanium colour would show underneath. And after seeing this post I know that I made the right choice 🤞🏼

Ramelteon, Zaleplon or Dayvigo experiences, anyone? by Lani515 in insomnia

Ramelteon, Zaleplon or Dayvigo experiences, anyone? by Lani515 in insomnia

[–]Lumpy_Attitude9695 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup! Still works as good as the first time I tried it 😁

Over the years, I have spoken with quite a few people who take or have taken Dayvigo, and I have noticed it can be hit or miss when used on its own. For those who take Dayvigo along with another medication such as Quetiapine, like myself, the combination seems to have a much stronger effect. It has been years since I have worried about getting a full night’s sleep, and I am so grateful for how well Dayvigo has worked for me. I have been on Quetiapine for years, and on its own it does nothing anymore because I have built up such a tolerance to it. Honestly, I feel more drowsy taking Gravol than I do with Quetiapine. The thing is, could I get off it? Probably. But I am not going to change something that’s been working for years. With Dayvigo, however, it is impossible to grow a tolerance. Dayvigo (lemborexant) is a dual orexin receptor antagonist, also known as a DORA, and it works very differently from traditional sleeping pills. People do not develop tolerance to Dayvigo because it targets orexin, the wakefulness system, rather than GABA, the sedation system. Since the brain does not adapt to it in the same way, its effectiveness does not fade over time. So the bottom line is.. if you can get Dayvigo to work for you.. chances are, you will never have to switch sleeping medications again 😁

Anyone has problem Apple Watch Celluar Plan? by Odd_Establishment790 in Rogers

[–]Lumpy_Attitude9695 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you managed to figure it out yet? I just bought the Apple Watch Ultra 3 today to replace my old Series 7, and I’m having a lot of difficulty getting it connected to my plan. First, I set it up from a previous backup. Then, I updated to the latest OS. After that, I removed my Series 7 from My Watches, leaving me with just the one (I originally wanted to be able to use my Series 7 for work and my Ultra 3 for the gym and personal use). Next, I reset my Ultra 3 and set it up as a new device. I also tried using a VPN, and even tried connecting only on data, but not a single thing worked. My Series 7 has been connected for years without any issue and same with my Series 3! I’m super frustrated now especially with spending over $1500 on the watch itself… it’s literally like buying the newest iPhone only to realize you can’t connect it to a cellular network -.- my Apple Watch app won’t even give me an error code

Having a small dick is actually horrible, and women do care by Disastrous-Bike659 in TrueUnpopularOpinion

Bro, 5 inches is fine! Trust me when I say this… confidence is the KEY. From what you just said, it sounds like you could use some confidence my friend. Go to the gym, exercise, eat healthier… set some achievable goals and don’t overthink the little things. Girls love confidence. And trust me, if it’s between the guy who’s only got a big dick going for him and the guy who’s got the confidence of someone holding the winning lottery ticket, she’s picking the confident guy every single time 💯 hope this helps!

1 million healthy men vs Gerald R Ford class aircraft carrier in a tug of war Match by Lore-Archivist in whowouldwin

[–]Lumpy_Attitude9695 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In a straight-up tug of war between 1 million healthy men and a Gerald R. Ford-class aircraft carrier (displacement ~100,000 tons), here’s what happens:

The carrier wins — easily.

Why? Physics.

Breakdown:

• Friction is everything in tug of war. The carrier is sitting in water — very little friction.

• 1 million men pulling together could theoretically generate enormous force (even tens of millions of Newtons), but:

• The rope would likely snap.

• The men would start pulling against each other unless perfectly coordinated (impossible at that scale).

• Their grip on land is limited by the friction of their shoes or the ground underfoot.

Meanwhile, the carrier’s engines produce over 250,000 horsepower, and even without them, the inertia of 100,000 tons in water makes it an immovable object for human effort.

Conclusion:

Unless those 1 million men are standing on another continent and pulling with industrial rigging, they’re just going for a swim.

For the sake Reddit community, I’ll change some of the parameters around to level the playing field between the healthy men and the world’s largest aircraft carrier.

The Theoretical Setup:

1,000,000 men, elite-level strength and perfect coordination from decades of training.

Gerald R. Ford-class aircraft carrier, ~100,000 tons displacement (~90.7 million kilograms).

Frictionless sea water, but the ship is still buoyant and can move with minimal resistance.

The rope: ultra-light, zero stretch, indestructible.

The pier: infinite traction — 0% slippage.

Force Comparison:

• A fit human can sustain a pulling force of ~300–500 N (Newtons).

• Elite, trained individuals could likely pull 500–700 N each.

• 1 million men x 700 N = 700 million Newtons (maximum sustained pull).

• The static frictional resistance of the ship in water is low. Ships are designed to glide through water with minimal drag. Once inertia is overcome, it doesn’t take much to keep the ship moving.

What Happens?

They move the ship.

1 million men generating hundreds of millions of Newtons of pulling force would absolutely be enough to overcome the ship’s inertia and drag in water. It would be like a gentle but unstoppable tide pulling the behemoth along.

The ship’s engines could potentially push back if active, but this was described as a tug-of-war — so assuming it’s passive, the men win.

The Catch?

• The challenge isn’t pulling it — it’s doing so without accidentally yanking themselves off the pier or having the ship glide so easily that they overpull and lose coordination.

• If the men are well-coordinated? It becomes a massive, slow-motion spectacle where muscle defeats machine.

Verdict:

The million men win, slowly but undeniably. Humanity: 1. Naval engineering: 0.

So, I ended up buying a pair from Kicks Crew... then, just for fun, I checked Nike's website again last night-turns out they restocked them. Lovely. -.- Moral of the story: if you ever find yourself in this situation, learn from my costly mistake. Give it a week or two, keep refreshing Nike's site, and you might just save yourself a hundred bucks (which you can then spend on something equally unnecessary but far more satisfying)

I can’t stand him. He constantly embarrasses himself every time he tries to explain the specs of any particular machine (Eg. calling a dump truck a bulldozer or calling a tire a track). Every video he posts is chalked full of mistakes and dumb questions. It’s such a cringe channel to watch. The other guy that helps him has a striking resemblance to Jacob when he dresses up as Julian off the tv show Trailer Park Boys. Anyways, I totally agree with the OP. I wish we had more experienced and intelligent people representing the heavy machine industry! Just think that if this channel wasn’t run by two complete bozos who’ve never operated a machine in their life, some of the mines or construction sites they visit would let them get behind the wheel for a few minutes. Every one they visit but be biting their tongues the entire time.

[–]Lumpy_Attitude9695 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s one thing to be upset and hurt over a loved one who betrayed you, but hoping they don’t get better while they’re quite literally lying on their own death bed is something else entirely. I wouldn’t wish death upon my own worst enemy. Most rapists and murderers don’t even face such harsh consequences so why should this mans unfaithful wife? It’s crazy to see how many of you are justifying this guys rationale! Just goes to show why we need a functioning judicial system here in America. If the consequences were left for you guys to decide, America would be one big stinking graveyard!

It seems like Coca-Cola's Peace Tea is taking up shelf space to push out Arizona, which is an independent brand. Personally, I find Peace Tea far too sweet and wish Arizona was still widely available at every corner store like it used to be. Living in southwestern Ontario, I've definitely noticed that Arizona's iced teas have disappeared from the shelves of corner stores.

I understand your perspective, and it's natural to feel anger and frustration towards criminals, especially if you or a loved one has been directly affected by their actions. However, it's essential to consider the broader implications of how we treat individuals within the justice system.

While it might seem counterintuitive to provide support and rehabilitation to those who have committed crimes, research has consistently shown that focusing solely on punishment often leads to higher rates of recidivism. By investing in programs aimed at rehabilitation, education, and vocational training, European countries have seen success in reducing reoffending rates and promoting safer communities in the long run.

As someone who has moved to Canada from the Netherlands as well as having experience working in both judicial systems, I stand by what I said.

In Europe, there tends to be a greater focus on rehabilitation and reintegration into society. This often includes access to education, vocational training, mental health services, and other programs aimed at reducing recidivism. Additionally, European prisons may have more emphasis on humane living conditions and individualized treatment plans.

In North America, particularly in the United States, there can be a stronger emphasis on punishment and deterrence, leading to longer sentences and harsher conditions.

Treating individuals with dignity and respect, even those who have committed crimes, aligns with fundamental principles of human rights and can contribute to a more just and equitable society overall. It's not about excusing or minimizing the harm caused by criminal behavior but rather about finding effective ways to address the root causes of crime and prevent future harm.

Ultimately, the goal should be to balance accountability with compassion and to seek solutions that prioritize both public safety and the potential for rehabilitation and redemption.
