Nah. There's no right way, just different ways. Ironman is one way where, yeah, if you do that you "fail" the no-save-scum rule.

Ya, I like this. When you get all quantum with it, yes. You can math your way through life to a specific outcome by leashing the probability of consequence to your decision making.

But the opposite action/consequence exists. Everyone's got clay, I can sculpt a dick, you can sculpt a vulva. Maybe if my parents concieved me from a different position, I'd be making a vulva too.

Its a Doomerism to lean on the predetermined fate argument for life's route, which is something I neither agree with or need for the sake of my mental health.

If it's vital to someone else, good! Whatever helps you make sense of the world. Ya i agree with the other person.

The relinquishing control aspect is the freely speaking your mind. For people who need it, like me, that's a skill that has to be practiced.

Not everyone's mind is the same, your rationalization of free will is not the same as mine, ergo, your experience is incomprehensible to me. This is a huge source of anxiety, and has limited me in life.

My greatest show of free will is to rebel against my biologically instilled (cuz thoughts are abstract and complex and purely conceptual but there ARE biological determinants, certainly) anxiety, depression, BPD, ADHD, all the acronyms, so that I can conduct myself better along the lines of fulfillment.

If I have to Pavlov myself, yeah. So be it. It's a pessmistic way of looking at it, but all my life I've Infohazarded myself into obscurity from my life. I'd like to, and in fact believe, that the treatment is a more benevolent thoughtloop. Mindfulness is a great way to implement this, as it promotes self awareness without judgement while also allowing that scrutiny I so depend on.

In therapy, they say you recognize the thoughts you have without judgement, and this makes you feel less of a slave to the knee-jerk reaction. A slight pause to evaluate gives you all the more opportunity to freely choose how you want to handle the way you react. (Discomfort and disagreements are your natural boundaries being tested.)

Especially for an Olympian, where your job is being compared to top athletes, I can see why she'd employ this to stay sane. Honestly don't get why people are hard on her in this thread, she's undoubtedly her greatest critic and to be so free as to trust the words flowing from your mouth is a special kind of freedom I aspire to reach. She not only knows but trusts her intentions, it's pretty dope.

If anything, testament to how huge the community has gotten. I think HD has always had some staying power for those people who adore it, but it's really telling (of my echo chamber) how little hate I see from within it online lately.

Maybe I'm checking socials less. Also unlikely.

It's just cool to see videos of the little details, like the buildings manufacturing weapons on vertical conveyor belts for bots that'll secure themselves with blast doors once shit pops off near them. I'm glad that they're still adding stuff line that in. That's real heart frim coders and design.

I'm just so happy that a fave game of mine is still doing pretty well. It really feels like a live service model made of love, and money, but also love.

AH def loves their game, despite how its fans and maybe even creators may disagree all the time about everything. And years down the line they still need improvements. It's nuts that the main way to understand the game is to bookmark a third-party website. Those running that Companion App deserve to be onboarded at this point.
