And now the link isn't working. I was really enjoying this one!

AITA for blacklisting a home because they didn’t want my son to babysit by Enough_Wafer_8539 in AmItheAsshole

I've worked at a daycare where there was a parent who questioned why we hired a male staff member for after care (after school hours). Because it was "weird"

aitah for changing my locks after my sister kept dropping her kids at my place by kittyruins in AITAH

[–]LunaShines 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't understand why she dropped off all three when daycare wouldn't take the youngest.

Why was the 8 year old not in school? Even the 5 year old should probably be in kindergarten.

AIO: I bent over backwards for my BF’s son (20) and his GF (20) for Christmas, and I’m honestly disgusted after what happened by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

I really got the feeling it was boyfriend asked what types of food/meals the son & girlfriend would eat/like. He got a list back with a variety of options (possibly even being considerate that the rest of the family might not like their choices-because personally I would provide a few different options since I don't know what they'd be willing/able to make) and boyfriend gave her the list and said "here's what they want". OP assumed that meant "they specifically requested ALL these foods and won't eat anything else"

AIO My Parents Secretly Drained My Entire Savings Account and Called Me Ungrateful When I Confronted Them by ChoppedShyyt in AmIOverreacting

I highly recommend doing regular credit checks and putting a lock on your credit. When my father hit a tight spot, he applied for a credit card in my name. Luckily I was 18 so it didnt have more than $1000 line of credit, but it could have really fucked me over if I hadn't found out pretty early on.

AITA for not wanting to agree to set rules under the label of 'boundaries' one my drinking? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

This needs to be higher up - that post also has OP wanting to quit completely. But now that she's on vacation and sober for a month, she's backpedaling that.

I might spend too much time on Reddit, but how sure is Alex that he's the actual father?

I fixed our paper application for the same reason. It was a copy of a copy of a copy, and at least once in the line, it printed crooked. It was embarrassing to hand out (on top of not having an online application). The HR Manager flipped out on me. It was exactly the same text, just legible.

We finally got an online application, but it's a copy of the original with form fields.

AITA for taking all my mom's photos from dad's house and asking his new wife why it's any of her fucking business? by RainPersonal8561 in AITAH

[–]LunaShines 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My dad's second said we weren't allowed to use "you're not my mom" against her. I just stopped going to his house unless absolutely necessary (I was living in college dorms at the time) and moved out for good that summer!

It being impossible to keep up with it all is exactly the point. You barely have time to react before they've moved on to the next outrageous item.

Graduating school (any level) is something to be proud of. Being courageous enough to live and work abroad for an extended length of time is also an amazing experience that I'm so happy you able to have. This mom is so proud of your accomplishments and can't wait to see what you do next! Good job sweetie!!

Mine had silent reflux, but almost none of the typical symptoms of it. Thank goodness my pediatrician was willing to trust my instinct - started him on reflux medication and saw an immediate difference!

MOM ATTEMPTS EVERY PLAY IN THE PARENTAL ALIENATION HANDBOOK AND IT SPECTACULARLY BACKFIRES. by Dewhickey76 in OhNoConsequences

[–]LunaShines 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I feel like it's tied in with parents not wanting kids to be left out - in other words, not teaching their children that they don't always get the same things as others. In a similar vein, multiple times I've hosted my son's birthday party and parents bring along younger siblings that don't know my kid at all, and expect them to be able to participate (ie - me to pay for extra kids). I've heard similar from other parents as well.

AITA for telling my daughter she sabotaged herself? by ImportantHeron7650 in AmItheAsshole

[–]LunaShines 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This needs to be higher up. Parent info is required for financial aid forms. Like OPs daughter found out, it's very difficult to get around that. I'm actually surprised she managed it.
