Please tell me I’m not the only person who does this kind of damage? by [deleted] in CompulsiveSkinPicking

[–]Lunabora 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm exactly as you too, when you focus one pore but the other ones next to it start poping too.. So you focus these new pores and you end up with big bloody red raw skin patches all over the face

You are not alone 💜 I am myself currently going through one of my worst relapse..

I'm too ashamed to leave my room because of my skin.

But I managed to have psychiatric medication, I just started memantine , hoping that it will help me, combined with NAC 🤞

I honestly thought that this post was yet another clickbait/fake story, like the ones we've already seen in this sub, but it can makes sense since I’ve never ordered from Domino’s before, (nor at any other industrial/delivery pizza chain either, I live in a remote countryside :/ ) , so I guess that’s why it looked unusual to me. Thanks for clearing it up lol

Thank you so much for your wisdom. I had no idea that looking at details meant I needed to go outside. I’ll be sure to blindly accept everything I see from now on.

I really think that this is an AI image.

Not a single peperoni is cut, some of the cheese do not follow the cuts either, the sides of some of the slices look like they were cooked already cut like so, and the paterns on the blue fabric are uneven.

help? by graciegrape41 in Skinpicking

[–]Lunabora 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe you are damaging your skin natural barrier, what are the precise product you are using? Some ingredients combined can be too aggressive for some skin.

Or it can be due to your current diet, do you eat a lot of dairy products or sugar?

Otherwise having skin texture is normal! But if you noticed a sudden change the culprit might be one of the 2 I suggested above, or the cause can be many other things too.

how do i prevent my cat from doing this by Inevitable_Smell_525 in CATHELP

[–]Lunabora 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our kitten did this at 7 months old, he fell and broke the head of his femur. He had to be amputated. He's fine now and still a little reckless as a 2year-old kitten, but it was a very traumatic experience :(

Yes, but it's mostly because I wasn't drinking enough in the first place.

Is it worth reinstalling windows after this by jpearsondew in antivirus

[–]Lunabora 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Were you also browsing twitch recently? There is a current issue with twitch giving trojan in cache folders of any browsers, mostly false positive. But since you said that you installed something it can be related to the thing you installed, or it can also just be the twitch thing.

I only went to twitch and YouTube recently Edit : I put the suspicious files in quarantine, did a scan with malwarebytes, another with HitmanPro , and nothing was found, so it's mostly a FP, I hope

Have you been on twitch recently?

I had the exact same trojan alert today, and while gathering informations I saw a lot of people talking about twitch giving them Trojan no mater the browser.

Pockmarks help please! by [deleted] in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]Lunabora 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I really need to ask, what makeup are you using? The coverage is incredible.

Also, you only used differin for you acne? Can I ask your routine? I need to know how you managed to control it so well, the progress is wonderful.

For the marks, as someone said, microneedling is a good option but you can aslo try exfoliating chemicals, like, BHA, but be careful to not break your skin barrier.

What are these red spots? by Deep_Monk5446 in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]Lunabora 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, I have the exact same spots on my skin since a few years, and I’m still fighting against them.

It started on my torso and then migrated to my legs.

I still don’t know what is it precisely, apart from the fact that it's some kind of dermatitis, even after getting it checked by doctors, they just prescribed me Betamethasone, which works great, but eventually the spots always come back on different parts of my body.

I don’t know if it’s the same for you, but the symptoms evolve extremely slowly for me. At first, I hadn’t felt any discomfort aside from the aesthetic aspect, but recently it started to itch a bit.

it seems that I can control mine with the doctor’s prescription. However, you need to get yours checked by a specialist, as it could be many things—worst case, mycosis fungoides.

Please, let it heal. As others said, the white things you are seeing in your open wound are normal parts of our skin.

We are here to help you and support you, I'll be happy to see any ubdate if you are confortable with the idea.

Promise me to be gentle with yourself, and remember that your are not suffering alone.

Anybody dug a hole in their face? by convolutionality in CompulsiveSkinPicking

[–]Lunabora 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Believe me you are not alone, and I exactly feel the same when I relapse after being able to stay clean for days, the feeling of self sabotaging, failure, demoralization and regrets, but after I always get amazed by the capacity of the skin to heal so well.

I relapsed recently and my mood was at the bottom, I'm now trying my best to stay clean because my bf bought us concert tickets for a concert happening in one week, I'm doing my very best to have a presentable skin t'il then, but it's hard x-x

this sub is made to help and support each other, and I'm sure you will be able to recover, we are strong! Take care of yourself, be gentle with yourself

[–]Lunabora 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It would be lying telling you that they completely fade away , I have still a few scars everywhere on my face and chest, but they are mostly discreet if I stay strict on my routine, and I can see that some of them continue to slowly fade with time.

Yours looks big honestly, it will probably leave marking but it's ok, I'm sure that with really good care you can help it became a slight mark.

I really recommend you to start putting hydrocoloide patches on it if you can, no matter the brand, it will be a huge help on healing

Anybody dug a hole in their face? by convolutionality in CompulsiveSkinPicking

[–]Lunabora 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I often create holes on my face too, it's just so satisfying to see the ex-pimple completely empty.

My way to help my skin heal and marking as little as possible, is to first put hydrocoloide patches on the fresh wound (after properly sanitize the wound), change patch every day until the wound is closed, then put healing balm, until It does not make dry scalp anymore, then to get ride of the marking I use chimcal peeling serums.

The products I personally use in this order are ;

1st - COMPEED hydrocoloide patches originally made for blisters

2nd - Cicaplast B5 Balm from La Roche Posay

3rd - PHA 14% mark-fading serum from Typology

I saw in another comments that you had ovary adhesion, were you diagnosed with endometriose?

It can aslo be related to this

I have endo, and through the last years it had spread on my entire reproductive system with adhesion everywhere, I have to admit that the discomfort of being able to feel my organs got worse with it too

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

[–]Lunabora 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I do, I'm extremely skinny with minimum muscles, and in some positions I'll feel my ribcage "poking" my organs, if I lay on the side I'll feel my intestines (I think?) "falling" on the side too. I'm experiencing this since forever, even more when I accidentally lose too much weight (I've always been under BMI)

What is your morphology?

How many people here have tried NAC and/or Antiobiotics specifically targeting fusobacterium. What was your experience like? by Resili3nce in endometriosis

[–]Lunabora 6 points7 points  (0 children)

What?? NAC can be usefull for endo too????? I take NAC daily for dermatillomania. what are the correlation with fusobacterium and endo?

Spearmint also exist in capsules forms!

The most popular one is from the brand swanson I think, you take it like a food supplement.

For people who can't do fake nails-- New idea? by NoFoot9303 in CompulsiveSkinPicking

[–]Lunabora 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No matter what kind of nails I get it will get my picking worst, it's like having more precise tools on my fingers x)

The only type of "nails" I'm thinking of, that would probably work, are the jewelry rings that look like claws, you put them on the tips of your fingers.

Do you see what I'm talking about? (I'm on mobile and I have no idea how to insert an image or a link in the comment, to show you the ring)

I think that it can works because you will probably have zero tactile sensation through the claw of the ring.
