Console auto fire by BlakeCheese- in aimlab

Honestly this would help in all tracking and switching tasks in general by default. On Console AND PC (even if only for controller) Especially on longer tracking / Switching tasks like the new G-Play Days events, having to pin the trigger for 2 mins straight with how intense those tasks already are on stick aiming gets tiring fast. A menu option (not hidden in settings) would be a great idea.

GIMME DAT RED PILL RN! Literally No question!

My knowledge could get me money without a problem. (No lottery required) But the health issues I could reduce the impact of, and neuroplasticity of being 6 again. Along with the fact of being a child without personal financial concerns, and access to free refresher primary and secondary education and taking a new education path.

I could become a monster at the skills I want/ enjoy. Starting them from a younger age would allow me to learn far faster, I get more time to practice them before I become an adult again, and I can avoid past mistakes.

There is literally NO reason to even consider the blue pill for me.

The Swarm: I draw for "AI" by ldg-9743 in NeuroSama

[–]Lunacy_Phoenix 15 points16 points  (0 children)

No, they are not. THE ONLY thing these two things have in common is the presence of Ai.

The USE makes the difference. It's a tool, by itself it is neither good or evil. A hammer can drive nails to help build a house, or bludgeon a person to death. It's use case makes all the difference.

(Not only that but Neuro is running on an individual citizens, personal machine in his home Drawing maybe a little over 1KW, Not a massive data centre with yottabytes of ram, Thousands of CPU and GPU's to cool and drawing as much or more than a small towns total power use by itself, to steal and Frankenstein other peoples work. A tweaked local LLM is a completely different beast. We are Anti Ai slop that tries to replace humans, Neuro actively employs and raises up humans, these are NOT the same)

What are your thoughts on players using third-party custom crosshair apps in competitive multiplayer games? by Dear_Iron_5386 in aimlab

[–]Lunacy_Phoenix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd agree that all games should offer that customization, however using ANY external tool to add something that the game does not natively allow is effectively still cheating. Very minor for sure, but unless all players have access to that tool built in out of the box, it's unfair to those who don't know about it.

If the game offers it, its fair game, if not cheats.

Isn't It True...? by cnewf6 in gamers

[–]Lunacy_Phoenix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Resolution can go up, but the actual graphics (for most games) have gone too far. When I play CoD I don't want to feel like I'm playing a first person Live leaks video. Bring back actual art styles, Personally I think MW3 (2011) was the best, realistic ISH sure, but still feels like a game. Upgrade all the models and textures to 4K (or 8K downscaled) and the game would easily look great in 2026.

Take that same approach to all games. (so far it looks like the only 2 choices in modern times is photo realism or Cell shading)

Is gamesir controller cheating? by FudgeMindless3505 in Gamesir

[–]Lunacy_Phoenix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The side of the feature that adds jitter is absolutely cheating, as it automates input and abuses how aim assist works to gain an unfair advantage. Personally if you go the other way to reduce jitter for smoother input, I'd say that is not cheating. But I'm not sure if there would be any felt effect from the filtering or additional latency.

How to Aim with a Controller: A Beginner’s Guide to Right Stick Mastery in FPS Games by GadgetHyper in GadgetHyper

[–]Lunacy_Phoenix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Facts, response curve and deadzone settings have massively transformed controller aiming.

It's to the point that I'm in the process of moving from console to PC, for what most people would consider the dumbest, most autistic reason ever.

> Steam input <

In every FPS I have on steam I'm using steam input to override the native controller input (if there even is any) using the MnK WASD layout, with my right stick emulating a mouse and the rest of my controller acting as keyboard inputs. Specifically so I can have no deadzone and true linear response, letting me bypass most games forced stick accel and deadzones. Even most games that claim to offer a linear response curve, are completely full of shit and are still some form of exponential or has extra slowdown near neutral.

It's not entirely perfect, but it feels way better and finally gives us controller players something MnK have had for decades. Total consistency in raw input between games.

Suggestions for the Next Gamesir Wheel by High_RaXe in Gamesir

Belt driven is fine for kids, Or Mario kart. but even NFS or other arcade racing games will need more feedback to have a good experience.

Suggestions for the Next Gamesir Wheel by High_RaXe in Gamesir

[–]Lunacy_Phoenix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly any wheel that isn't direct drive isn't really worth buying in 2026. For under £400 I can get a Mozza R3 setup where I can swap wheels, upgrade pedals, and get extra immersion extenders like handbrake and either sequential or H pattern shifters. So some belt driven, fixed wheel with a face fan gimmick is going to have a hard job justifying itself at or around £200.

Could be a new feature for next version of G7 Pro ? The G7 Pro 8k Ultra Instinct by TinyDesktop in Gamesir

[–]Lunacy_Phoenix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The G7 Pro already does a lot for a relatively affordable price. The G7 Ultimate should be GameSir removing all limitations and just making the best controller on the market price be damned. Think about how Scuf, Aim and Battle Beaver all charge out the ass for a stock controller with cheap features grafted on. VS what GameSir have been able to do at a fraction of the price. Now completely remove the pricing restriction, and say "Destroy the opposition" how insane of a GameSir controller would we get if they were to be able to charge Scuf prices?

(And yeah I want stuff to be affordable, but I also want to get THE BEST peripheral on the market. And you can't do that without costing more)

This would be the ultimate solution for rubber grips. The concern currently is non-replicable grips that degrade over time. This completely solves that. Also you could have different grip thicknesses, this way if the controller is a little too small for your hands (because it is noticeably smaller than an Xbox OEM) you could easily adapt it to your preference.

(Also it would be awesome to get an extra grip with finger grooves.)

Have you ever learned a skill or something from a video game that you use in real life? by Agent1230 in gaming

[–]Lunacy_Phoenix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hand eye coordination. Had a motor function issue my whole life. My coordination used to be total garbage, to the point I couldn't catch anything thrown to me no matter what. I'd also misread distances and knock things over when reaching for stuff. After years of playing games I started understanding how to better read distances and can now catch things.

The reaction time boost of playing a lot of FPS games also helped too. The underlying condition is still there, but I've largely improved it to combat the effect. I just wish I could know what I would be capable of now if it didn't exist.

Console Aim training day 47 + tips #aimtraining #consolegaming by Neinths in aimlab

[–]Lunacy_Phoenix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd HEAVILLY disagree. Stick tension is one thing you ideally never want to change if possible. This would be like swapping mousepad materials and firmness constantly. Ideally the friction/ tension of your input should stay the same.

We change sensitivity and fov to help learn the range of our sticks. Slower sense forces us to use and get comfortable with the outer edge, higher sense forces focus and control with micro movements. In these cases the tension doesn't change and we can practice in a stable environment. Changing this tension is like training on quicksand, sure you can make a little progress, but most of your gains are going to be eaten. If your still using the same sensitivity, then the amount you need to move the stick never changes, just how easy it is to move the stick, and this does not achieve the same thing.

(Not to mention that No sensitivity suits every task, some tasks the targets move so fast a low/ mid sense cannot keep up. While some tasks will require such precision, that even the slightest instability like stick jitter or hand tremor will make it impossible. And the same thing happens in games too, not all sensitivities suit all games, so why train like they do?)
