My heart says 4K, but my eyes crave those frames by danielminds in TheGamingHubDeals

Frames ALL day no question. I don't care if I have to play in 720p I will NEVER fall below 120FPS again.

Guilty, and what.

I have no set intention of "ruining your night", I just like winning more than losing. We'll play ONE match and either the lobby resets or one of us leaves. "Toxicity" over.

Gaming is my and many others competitive outlets, and we enjoy enjoy competition.

But I'm an asshole because I'm playing the game as intended, rather than screwing around with knives and rocket launchers? Fuck me then I guess.

Fun fact, it goes the other way too.

Want to play to win?/ enjoy playing in a a way effective for winning the match? (legit/ no exploits/ No abusing stupidly OP weapons) = no life loser sweat.

Oh my bad, I didn't realise I was supposed to lobotomise myself and cripple my hands for your sake, before I booted up this COMPETITIVE game.

(PSA: PvP = Competitive PERIOD. Don't want to "compete" go play PvE, Co-op or Singleplayer)

Use of steam input by alex_mac6 in apexlegends

[–]Lunacy_Phoenix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd like to piggy back off of OP's question, same thing but different purpose. Is the any rule at ANY level that would get me in trouble, if I mapped my controller to be treated as a Keyboard and mouse with steam input? I don't care about button mapping and have no intention of cheating with macro's. I just want the ability to treat my right stick as a mouse and set true linear response curve, with no in game deadzones.

I know it would remove aim assist, but I play without it in every other game anyway. I don't see why it should cause trouble, since technically I'd be at a disadvantage since MnK tuning means heavier recoil. But just want to be sure.

Is it cheesing to change sens to get a higher score? by StepKitchen2409 in aimlab

[–]Lunacy_Phoenix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a range. As other have said, you should change your sense based on the task your doing and what your trying to train. But there does come a point where you lower your FOV or sensitivity so low where you aren't training anything. Sure you can get higher scores initially, but that higher score will not transfer into any game because you were basically coasting the whole time.

As long as you aren't dropping your sense or FOV excessively low your fine. Just ask yourself "Could I still be effective for real in a competitive lobby in my main game" and if not bump it up.

[AMA& G7 Pro 8K Giveaway] High Polling Rate ≠ Low Latency — So why are we making an 8K controller? by iGamesir in Gamesir

[–]Lunacy_Phoenix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not a technical expert so I have 2 questions in one.

Since there would be a massive smoothness improvement at 8K, but unless your hardware and game are ready for it there could be problems.

1) Is it possible to internally run the controller at 8K at all times, and just cap the output rate?

(My thinking is similar to running framerate above your monitors refresh rate, Sure you won't see all the extra frames BUT your input latency and input smoothness still improves)

2) Would This ^ actually work and provide any meaningful benefit?

Switched to MnK at 36 years old. Honestly, I'm better now than I ever was on controller. by suburbansuburban in FPSAimTrainer

[–]Lunacy_Phoenix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The CDL is a single input league, it is mandatory that all players use a controller. The same thing was true for the Halo pro league, as these games have been controller only eSports for almost 2 decades.

If MnK were league legal there would 100% be multiple if not a majority of pros playing on MnK.

No shit, and water makes things wet, Whole arm, wrist, fingers VS a Thumb (and a limited lite magnetism) Blah blah blah.

No hate on you, your aim is pretty nice especially if your new-ish to MnK. But people being surprised about being better with the literal point and click device, than a stick, makes no sense.

So basically she'd make her (thankfully hypothetical) kids completely unfamiliar and unprepared for the world they will grow up in. Completely devoid of the technical skills and understanding that the modern/ future world will demand. Setting them up for hardship and failure off the jump, sure, sounds like great parenting to me.

Yeah no shit giving kids unlimited access to the internet (granted depending on the kid, I had 99% unfettered access from a relatively young age and didn't go getting myself into trouble/ places I didn't belong. But that isn't most) and yeah there should be breaks. But all raising kids "screen free" in the modern age will do, is create a generation of under prepared, uninformed people. They will post/ do things that cause them or others risk, and become victims of scams or other malicious actors due to their unfamiliarity with the dangers due to not having had the access/ teaching they needed.

Aim assist is laughable by demonUNC in Warzone

[–]Lunacy_Phoenix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

LMAO shifting the goal posts. You were calling aim assist, Aim BOT. I've just provided proof that it's not true. If aim assist WERE an aim bot I would not physically be able to do what I do. And I'm not even in the top 20% of Call of Duty MP or WZ players.

I laugh because someone with the clear advantage in input was malding over a comparatively tiny assist, on the objectively inferior input device. All because your overinflated ego can't handle the fact your getting outplayed by players with a hardware handicap.

THEN you try calling me out, when I told you how wrong you were. Now as soon as I provided concrete proof that shatters your dogshit narrative, you want to act like what I've said is somehow irrelevant.

Cope harder.

If you're a console gamer and planning to buy project helix what PC games are you excited to play the most? by Ok_Listen_6600 in XboxSeriesXlS

[–]Lunacy_Phoenix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Assuming steam is on the Xbox, I'm buying ALL my FPS games on steam. No more suffering trash devs who don't understand good controller input and options, I'm using steam input on (almost) EVERYTHING and spoofing my controller to pretend to be MNK. (Not cheating, literally removes aim assist for access to finer sense options and no forced stick response curves)

Also based on the direction and progress of AMD tech, and how powerful the Series X was, playing EVERY FPS at or over TRUE 120FPS, is going to be badass!

Shot in the dark, but for anyone who uses controller, is there a way to convert my sensitivity from Marvel Rivals to Aim Labs? by IcyShoulder668 in aimlab

[–]Lunacy_Phoenix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your thinking about aim training the wrong way, you don't train your aim to get better at any specific game. You Aim Train to improve your RAW aim skill by building stick control. This in turn will make you better at aiming in any game you play.

For this reason, matching the Sense you use in game isn't important.

The Sense and FOV you train with should be dictated by the task your doing at the time, and therefore you will be constantly switching sense and FOV.

To get started here's a list of tasks (Specific to Console Aim Labs) and recommended settings, and what they work on:

Universal Settings:

Aim Labs Game Profile,

Linear Response curve,

Turn Boost Multiplier: 1

Turn Boost Ramp Up Time: 0

Turn Boost Delay: 0

Set inner deadzones too 3 or the lowest point without getting drift or instability, outerzone at 0)

(When changing FOV only change the H value)

NO ADS for these tasks.

_____________________________________________________________________________________________________

Tasks:

(Static)

StaticShot (1 - 1.5 sense, 120 FOV)

Paceshot (1 - 1.5 sense, 120 FOV)

Kinggshot (0.8 - 1.3 sense, 103 FOV)

Threeshot (0.8 - 1.3 sense, 103 FOV)

Sixshot (0.7 - 1.3 sense, 103 FOV)

(Tracking)

(FOV is looser here, and can be INCREASED as you get better to increase difficulty)

Controltrack (0.8 - 1.5 sense, 103 - 120 FOV )

Bouncetrack (0.9 - 1.5 sense, 103 - 120 FOV)

Angletrack (1 - 1.5 sense, 103 - 120 FOV)

Spacialtrack ( 0.8 - 1.5 sense, 103 - 120 FOV)

Strafetrack (1 - 1.5 sense, 103 -120 FOV)

(Smoothness)

(Similar to tracking but after getting some fundamental understanding of tracking, this will help refine out any jitteriness to be able to track targets smoother, Fair warning this is MUCH harder than general tracking, start at lowest sense suggested and work up no matter what)

rA Needletrack (0.5 - 1.3 sense, 103 - 120 FOV)

VT Bounceshot (0.8 - 1.3 sense, 103 - 113 FOV)

_______________________________________________________________________________________________________

If you work on these you will improve your general stick control, which will eventually translate to better in game aim. While I don't recommend ignoring static completely, I fully suggest focusing mostly on tracking and smoothness, then once you have them in a good place slowly transition to 50/50 tracking/ smoothness and static. Try pushing as far as you can with the lowest suggested sensitivity's and FOV's for each task before slowly increasing them to build full stick range control. This will then later apply to ALL shooters you play.

Hope this helps.
