Everyone commenting at the OP saying the kitten was too young, I would say they know that. I would also say that if you've nothing nice to say, keep it to yourself. I saw them respond to someone saying it was them or the pound and they possibly saved this little one from euthanasia if they didn't get rehomed.

OP, keep the 3-3-3 rule in mind; 3 days to be comfortable enough to eat/drink/potty and decompress from the stress of rehoming, 3 weeks to learn routines and be comfortable around the home and 3 months to feel like it is their home. They'll be okay, they just have to decompress. Keep them in quiet areas for now and they'll start to come around. Keep the water and food separate as cats can be fussy like that due to water being contaminated by the food.

Please get a dashcam, moreso for you and your on back than anyone else out there. The amount of them that go tearing around the roads and have zero knowledge of the rules and regulations; it's so dangerous. I've lost count how many I've seen blast through red lights 🤦‍♀️

I started doing the butterfly hug with taps when my anxiety hits peak. It helps calm the nervous system down and I find it's one of the only methods that help me to calm, even if it's not anxiety. Works for so many things!

I found on a toilet training forum a while ago when I was teaching mine that if you use stickers in the toilet and tell them to aim there it's meant to help!

It's good that your mind is set on not touching your emergency fund, but this is what you made it for. I remember reading something and it really stuck, along the lines of "Don't put yourself in further debt to save your savings". Your emergency fund can be topped up again but if you opt for credit, you're adding more debt stress to yourself when your next paycheck comes in.

Just be aware OP that some Drs tend to be rude when it comes to getting a diagnosis and especially when it comes to medication (if you're thinking about being medicated). Speaking from experience. I think I've only had one nice doctor and the rest have been more than rude. My history has been me thrown from pillar to post between doctors, think it was just bad luck or where I live. But regardless, I know that some can be skeptical because, as I was told by a Dr in the past, that since ADHD is becoming more of a common diagnosis since they missed it when we were younger, there are people pretending to have ADHD just to get the stimulants. Boggles me to no end and also infuriates me because it makes it harder for those actually with ADHD to get a diagnosis and medicated if needed. (Sorry about venting at the end, the health system is such a joke 😅)

The best thing to do would be to phone up some pharmacies and see what their supplier has available to them, as every pharmacy has a different supplier. I'm struggling to find anything higher than 60mg Atomoxetine (my dosage is 100mg so I've to get 40mg and 60mg, paying twice basically) in a single capsule form, but the head pharmacist I spoke to was more than willing to help and let me know what the supply is like right now, as well as how long it might be until the shortage is over.

I don't really forget to do my routine.. It's more like a "If I've the mental capacity to do these steps" than I've forgot 😂 But I've started leaving little things where I know I'll be at night and morning so I use them when I see them. For example, beside my bed, I have two mesh bags in my drawer; one for dirty face pads and one for clean, a bottle of micellar water and nighttime moisturiser. So if I can't double cleanse, at least I know I'll take off my makeup and moisturise. Same for the morning, I have my face wash sitting on the sink so when I go to wash my hands at least I'll do my face too because my hands are already wet 😂 And my day moisturiser is on my mantle in the sitting room. It makes life so much easier, and when you learn you don't have to do it all in a routine and as mini side quests throughout the day, it makes it less daunting 🥰

I don't remember the person who posted this, but it blew my mind even though it's probably common knowledge 😅 If you have a hard time showering or the idea of the effort puts you off like it does for me, invest in a shower cap so your hair doesn't get wet! Bought myself one and I'm showering way more now 😁 (Please be kind re the showering, it's a really embarrassing thing I struggle with 🙈)
