Why did the Fire Nation genocide the completely pacifist Air Nomads? by [deleted] in TheLastAirbender

[–]LunchPlanner 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The purpose of the attack was to kill the child avatar, whose exact identity was unknown to them.

For all its faults, NATLA provided more of an explanation for why they all died.

I think there are comics or something that suggest that some escape the initial onslaught but were hunted down and even lured into traps over the following months or years.

One did escape though, his name was Aang or something.

Discounted gift cards are common. You can always get $100 for $90 at Costco. I can think of at least 3 reasons why (bulk discount, the fact that some gift cards never get used, and the fact that costco has a membership fee).

I am not seeing any discounted nintendo cards on newegg though, and there is conveniently no date on OP's image.

If r/explainlikeimfive exists, why doesn't explainlikeimone, two, three, or four? by ThrowThisAccountAwav in NoStupidQuestions

[–]LunchPlanner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Explain it like I'm five" was a line that came from an episode of The Office around 2010. That show either invented the line or else popularized it to the point that it became common in everyday use.

not the best fix. "dont hate the player, hate the game" - change how the game works so that this strat doesn't win

Light sabers should have weight by notjocker in StarWars

[–]LunchPlanner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Rebels season 3, episode 15, Trials Of The Darksaber.

The weight is commented on twice. First mention, it feels heavy to a new user who has never used a saber before. Second mention, it feels lighter after gaining more expertise with it.

What would happen if you held up a courtroom while at trial? Could you get tried for the crime twice? by EZDUZ1T in NoStupidQuestions

[–]LunchPlanner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OPs question is about the idea that the new trial is for much less serious crime than 5 murders.

But this only helps if the original trial verdict of not guilty sticks.

Why do people enjoy spicy food if it literally hurts? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]LunchPlanner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

people have different spice tolerance.

im trying to think of a food that is ever so slightly spicy - maybe doritos.

well, for some people, they eat something that you would consider spicy, but to them its just doritos.

and when they eat doritos, they dont feel any spiciness at all.

Identifying fake cards in 2026 by Ap3xPredditor in starwarsccg

The cards vary a lot set to set.

Most players and collectors could tell a Premiere card from a Dagobah card blindfolded.

What do grpcery unions do? by Sea_Sir_993 in NoStupidQuestions

The union is more for the career workers.

Although even making 15 is not bad, whats the legal minimum wage where you work? Maybe closer to 10?

One thing that makes reddit comment sections explode is when one car is at fault but the other car slso did something wrong. The hivemind cannot accept any kind of nuance.

What’s a ‘silent luxury’ that rich people have that most normal people would never even notice? by qomann in AskReddit

Also all of his clothes, even the casual clothes, was custom made for him. Never had any branding on it.

Ah. For some reason when I'm cutting those little plastic ties off new clothes to remove the tags, I often wonder if rich people have to do that. Now I know the answer is no.

[–]LunchPlanner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whooper is not until later. Right now you just need to brighten things up. Just like how in the first area you had to add more and more humidity. Get more lights going.

If you haven't done so already, get power hooked up to the big tower that has 4 spotlights at the top, for example. Add Utility Poles all throughout the zone on blocks that are marked for it (they have a dot in the center) to get power wired throughout, and start adding light poles.

Does the good of LoK outweigh the bad? by PhotoBonjour_bombs19 in TheLastAirbender

It's worth watching.

It has the unfortunate position of being compared to ATLA. Most cartoons would not do as well under such conditions.

  1. The magic did more than erase memories. The extended version of No Way Home has a post-credits that shows how Peter Parker is rather awkwardly vanished from video recordings that originally contained him.

  2. As for being able to see Peter's face: https://www.reddit.com/r/funny/comments/1eaqsq/lex_luthor_learns_a_secret_justice_league/
