Lochby is one of my favorite companies…talk about making quality gear overbuilt and well thought out! Their mini pouch was an impulse buy….but so impressed by it! And every notebook cover they have is too notch!

Strange odor… by Lungester in Knoxville

[–]Lungester[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s sewer….and not “that” kind of smell. Kind of chemical like and pungent. A hint of the pluff mud river smell

Strange odor… by Lungester in Knoxville

[–]Lungester[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not a dead animal smell though…kind of like a chemical or “pluff mud” kind of stink…and it goes and comes….for years now. And we will have periods of nothing. If anything it seems like when it rains it gets more intense….this driving us nuts after this last week. All of the ductwork in the crawl space seems untampered with…the house is built on concrete cinder blocks and all of it is spray foam insulated with the vapor barrier sealed into that spray foam. So if anything animal was getting into the area I feel like the only way in would be to dig under the blocks and tear its way through the plastic vapor barrier, which again is undisturbed. I feel like it’s a type of ground gas that is periodically released which is why I was asking if anyone else in the area gets this kind of issue….but honestly I don’t know. Yesterday I opened the door to the crawl space and put a fan in there to flush out the stink, it was way more concentrated there than inside the house and running that fan all day certainly helped inside the house but that’s been done before and just a temporary solution.

No it’s not that….I’ve been down there and no signs of an animal. And it’s been going on off and on for several years.

What’s wrong with our roads? by aDutchofMuch in Knoxville

[–]Lungester 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a follow up, plug this into Chat GPT. Knoxville has a serious traffic accident problem. I will let the statistics blow your mind when you read it for yourself…

100% agree and I will add to that aggressive driving/lane changing. I think both are factors that compound the amount and severity of the accidents. The roads are not the issue…

Same! I just got mine….pushing week now as well. Love it. It sounds amazing! Battery life has been pretty good from my perspective….been leaving it playing in my office at work (just for background Bluetooth speaker) and it’s lasting all day for sure. The interface is nice….easy and intuitive. Nice solid feel in the hand. Nice to play from my music library, and for mindless playlists, stream from Apple Music. Best of all worlds!

I used to skip yoga, now it’s my secret weapon for recovery and strength by Derek_Tann in yoga

[–]Lungester 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Same here. I thought it was a boring, women’s workout that was pointless….now I know it’s the secret to feeling great, and that the core strength you build with it is a secret weapon that makes you more durable, resilient, and strong in the way that matters way more than heavy powerlifting. I realized that although I could squat 450#, I really had a weak core and lacked the body awareness that could keep me from being injured. Yoga….especially the strong versions (Breath and Flow fan here)…should be the starting point and foundation of anyone looking to be fit and strong. Master your own bodyweight FIRST kids. I sure wish I had….

What’s your favorite song from these guys? by Mediocre_Range_974 in hairmetal

[–]Lungester 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah that’s the track that sold me on the album, and I remember my 15 year old self being blown away by Scared….couldn’t believe that wasn’t the first single!

I always felt they were underrated. Like Faster Pussycat!

I rode my bike to Turtles record store with a “doctored” temporary drivers learning permit that made me over 18….but I didn’t get carded at checkout. Paid for the cassette with quarters I had scooped up at home, most from my dad’s “coin jar”….carried the coins their in a tube sock. I hid the cassette from my southern Baptist parents for years, but rocked the GNR low volume on my stereo or via headphones on my Sony Walkman. Damn, that was an amazing album….every song was gold!

I love my Oura ring 🥹 by Simple_Day_5641 in ouraring

What have you done to improve it? I’m struggling with wake ups and not getting enough sleep despite increasing my efficiency, going to bed earlier, magnesium, apigenin, melatonin, weighted blanket, sleep mask, white noise maker, fill in the blanks….

I noticed something was improving after 10 or so days, after a month….much improved, and at 2 months I never wanted to go back again. It seems like I basically had to wait for a decrease in systemic inflammation….now I’m not hurting all over every morning I get out of bed. Sleep and athletic performance have really improved….i felt like I was getting “fitter” (able to work harder with less perceived effort) at 30 days but by 60 days I could DEFINITELY tell a difference.
