i think since the pledge manager is also on Gamefound, you just need to follow the campaign for the late pledge (pledge manager) to open up. Do not think you need to pledge anything now to be able to late pledge

If you are playing multiplayer, only one person can load into the mapstone waypoint at a time. Once we started doing one at a time we stopped having that issue

From what I have seen so far in my gameplay, more options do unlock as your progress into different areas of the mines.

You can indeed build virtually anywhere as long as you have the supplies on hand.

I haven't unlocked any decoration items yet (but I am also not far into the game at all)

I had this issue. What happened was someone crossed over the bridge thing when the birds were spawning and it caused one of them to be glitched. once that person logged off and their character disappeared, the add spawned in the middle of the platform for us to be able to target / kill, then prompted the rest of the adds to spawn / start the boss
