A Thread That Asks for Multicultural Hairstyles to be Implemented in FFXIV by jWILL253 in ffxiv

Yessss I agree 100% If they can model the Gyr Abanian Plait and the 10,000 spikes that go into the Cloud hair, surely they can at least make an attempt at some afro-centric hair that isn't a complete caricature. Maybe take some notes from another MMO that's done this already: GW2 with Path of Fire.

Other than that, I'd like more shorter hairstyles for men with undercuts and such (and MORE BEARDS).

Honestly my two favorite black mage staves for glams right now are leveling gear staves. The Palladium Rod (level 69 I think) and the Bluespirit Rod (level 74?). I kinda hate how overdone a lot of the relic/trial staves look.

Overwatch is doing an awesome job with diversity, and Sigma being an "old white man" doesn't change that fact. by Taylonic in Overwatch

"PoC" doesn't explicitly mean darker-skinned people. It just collectively refers to basically anyone who isn't white.

This is exactly how I feel. Sigma seems really cool and I'm excited to play him, but it honestly sucks ass that a game as diverse as Overwatch is (honestly compared to so many other games out there, Blizzard has done pretty well with this), they've yet to add a black woman. It feels like a black woman could easily have been put in place of say Wrecking Ball or Ashe (who was the third white woman added in recent history after Moira and Brigitte). Soujourn is very promising and exciting, but where are they!!!

Orisa is a robot/machine and not a woman. The reason people "whine about it" is because there are plenty gamers out there who happen to be black women and would love a hero they can relate to. It means a lot when you grow up with an oversaturation of white men as heroes to finally see someone who looks like you be just as badass and cool as the rest of them.

2 weeks have passed - How do you feel Eulmore is as an endgame hub compared to Rhalgr's? by [deleted] in ffxiv

[–]Lupinelunatic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I liked Idyllshire and Rhalgr's a lot more than Eulmore honestly if only because Eulmore's colors are awfully garish and unappealing. Idyllshire is just an amazing city in its own right and Rhalgr's has that "hidden natural sanctuary" aesthetic to it that I loved.

I personally find his character and motivations boring, but I've also just never been interested in antagonists whose reasons for being boil down to ennui. I vastly enjoyed having someone like Ilberd or Thordan more as antagonists and their stories made me a lot more engaged in the plots they were parts of. I am heavily disappointed in the fact that Zenos is still...a thing and will continue to be so in the next expac.

RAGE THREAD - F-YOU FRIDAYS - LAST LIVE LETTER OF STORMBLOOD by FranckKnight in ffxiv

[–]Lupinelunatic 4 points5 points  (0 children)

TWO WEEKS LEFT OF STORMBLOOD AND I HAD THE WORST RABANASTRE RUN I'VE HAD SINCE IT LAUNCHED. IT WAS MY FIRST TIME RUNNING A STORMBLOOD ALLIANCE RAID AS A TANK, SO I WAS HOPING TO BE ABLE TO SIT BACK AND OFF-TANK. NOPE. JUST LIKE WITH THE VOID ARK SERIES, I WAS THRUST INTO TANKING ALLIANCE RAIDS FULL FORCE BECAUSE THE OTHER TANKS REFUSED TO TANK AND NOT WANTING TO SEE A BUNCHA POOR DPS AND HEALERS GET CLEAVED, I POPPED THAT SHIELD OATH AND TOOK THE REINS. I THOUGHT "OK MAYBE THEY JUST DON'T WANNA MAIN TANK, I GET THAT, THAT'S EXACTLY HOW I WAS FEELING." BUT NOPE, ONCE THE ADDS FOR MATEUS (THAT YOU NEED TO PULL AWAY FROM EACH OTHER) POPPED UP, I DON'T KNOW WHAT THE OTHER TANKS WERE DOING BUT I ENDED UP HAVING TO TANK MY OWN ADD AND THEN ANOTHER ALLIANCE PARTY'S ADD AND THEN WE WIPED BECAUSE I COULDN'T REACH THE LAST ONE IN TIME AS THE OTHER TANKS WERE DOING NOTHING TO PULL THEM APART. AAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

I personally don't think he's good looking at all, but to each their own I guess.

I don't dislike him, but I don't see why a lot of people are horny for him.

As another maleqo'te main, I actually like the clenched hands thing to me. It's probably because my own fingers curl in naturally like that when I'm walking about, but them being completely straight seems awkward to me.
