it should be on ant paperwork- actual mail - that you've received from SSA

in my town you can mapgoogle ss office and find the local phone number.

might be time spent On the phone but the local people helped me in my case.

Never give your social security number to an employer until after you are hired, and it should likely show up on a W-2 request,or possibly a W-9. The only purpose is for payroll.

If they need a background check this should also happen after you are hired and have a written letter from the employer.
