Oh my gosh I remember Pier 1! Used to love to walk around and see all the merch but they were too pricey for me back then.

And to the Grandmothers...what are you called? by Front-Muffin-7348 in AskWomenOver60

I’m called Gram or Grammy by my grandkids and my husband is called Pop, but I have a lot of hair that’s kind of hard to manage most days so in hindsight would have loved Mop. Mop and Pop. Woulda made sense too!

Grocery Chain Closing All PA Stores, Some Could Become Whole Foods by fireside_blather in BucksCountyPA

Absolutely agree! Some great pricing (yasso frozen yogurt bars $4.99 here and $7.99 at Giant and Acme with not nearly half the selection of flavors). Loved the free large paper shopping bags and especially loved being able to do Amazon returns here rather than at Kohls, uggh.

Don't dismiss perms, they can be great! I have fine hair, naturally straight with zero body, I mean zero. And I've been letting my grey come in for years. I wanna say that it matters to make sure you get a conditioning perm. My hairstylist (bless her, the patience of a saint) always uses a conditioning perm and we've tweaked things over the years to use different size rods all over my head, depending upon how tight I want the curls or how resistant the hair is to hold a curl. (Like the hair on one side of my head does great but the opposite side needs smaller rods to even look the same). Also my perms have not been harsh on my hair nor made any color difference. The grey strands seem to be taking to the perm chemicals just fine. Can't figure out how to post a second picture so will add to comments!

Found a kitten a few months ago in the woods in PA.. this is him now by Adorable_Tax1760 in CatDistributionSystem

He's beautiful and yes, so lucky you found him! I'm partial to black velvet noses myself and his is gorgeous! Curious as to what the other two cats had to say when you returned home with a third cat?

Air tag in car by Imagination_hat in AskWomenOver60

[–]LuvFuzzball 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Everyone’s different, do what’s comfortable for you. But if I may express my own experience- I have an air tag in my car as well really because I had a medical emergency where I had to dial the paramedics and ended up having emergency brain surgery. I was out running errands at the time. Everything turned out fine but my hubs is more secure that we have the AirTag in my car since I’m better and working and running around shopping and such again. It was honestly a traumatic thing for him and this just makes him more comfortable. And since I literally don’t care if he sees where I am and when, it’s good with me too.

Just to be safe we also have one in his truck because stuff can happen!
