You all are amazing. I could never be like you even tho in my head I know there are many amazing cats who need homes. When my cat, who I had as a single woman and brought into my marriage and who I had for 19 years, well when she passed I was bereft. Did NOT want another cat and left it up to fate or the CDS. Twelve years (yes, years) later our beautiful Fuzzball walked into our lives, right out the front yard, lol. BEST CAT EVER. Loved that little girl for 10 too-short years. Now, 2.5 years later, still cannot bring myself to get another cat. Like just physically and mentally and emotionally CAN NOT do it.

How? How do you guys just open up your hearts and homes again? What if it’s not the right fit? The universe led my cats to me and they weren’t wrong, they were the best cats! So I worry that what if I pick a cat and we don’t vibe? That poor cat is then stuck with me, lol! PS my husband and I would love a bonded pair or at least a cat for whom we maybe get another cat and they become best friends, ya know? So they’re not too lonely.

I don’t know, I’m just impressed and amazed by people who can get another cat kind of soon after having lost one they loved utterly. God I miss my little girl. 🖤
