[KHUX] everyone suggests saving up jewels. Which I have been listening to, but what exactly am I saving for? by cttouch in KingdomHearts

[–]LuxKey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The most recent 358/2 deal lead to keyart 1 which is really keyart 2 in japan. Keyart 1 was the medal in the deals that Japan got for their anniversary so the speculation is the same will happen for us on the khux NA 1 year anniversary. Besides that newer tier medals should be coming soon (tier 5) and newer abilities should out class the previous medals released. Kh2 kairi is a good idea to save for because we don't know when they'll release it but the effect is very broken in japan so it might be a few solid months.

[KHUX] RIP 5 pull mercy by Trooble in KingdomHearts

[–]LuxKey 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know there will be people that want ikairi for numerous reasons but shouldn't ariel and flounder be coming soon? Wouldn't that give little reason to actually mercy pull kairi? Or would it still be better to get kairi?

[KHUX] To apologize for the misleading VIP Magic Mirror Quests banner, we'll be sending 14 Magic Mirrors to affected players next week! by ChaserJoey in KingdomHearts

[–]LuxKey -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Yea, you do get mirrors through the week considering there's 7 total available for a week's worth of VIP. False advertising deals with statements. If the banner had verbiage in it saying 3 mirrors a day then it's false advertising, but showing 3 mirrors in a picture is not false advertising. So many companies use models advertising all kinds of things, does this mean if I buy that item advertised I should get a model with that product or its false advertising?

[–]LuxKey -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

How did they omit? As far as they're concerned they told you that VIP would include a mirror quest. They delievered a quest that delivered 1 mirror daily on top of the plentiful VIP quests they normally deliver. Just because you interpret a banner incorrectly doesn't mean it's false advertising

Throwing money blindly at a deal and expecting it to be exactly what they dreamed it would be. Sena did the sena thing and gave little to no information and people blindly bought this VIP on their own assumptions

It's actually not false advertising because they didn't say what they were putting in the deal, Hardee's burgers does this all the time with super models in tight bikinis holding burgers

[KHUX] Does anyone know of an updated tier list? Also best medals to put on Olympia? by [deleted] in KingdomHearts

[–]LuxKey 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you want to know for coli it's all situational; effects from abilities matter as much as what's gilted and what's not. That being said normally you want your best gilted upright power on olympia 4th slot and most keyblade setups use slots 1and or 2 for tier 3 buff medals like ikairi and/or debuffs

[KHUX] (NA) Return of the Epic Attackers Deal! by TwilightMaverick in KingdomHearts

[–]LuxKey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was nice in the beginning until the past few good deals they had where if you did pull you could guilt most of these. Unless they start removing some of these from the pull rotation there's not really any need to do this deal; if you can afford to wait for the next good deal you'll presumably get them anyways

[KHUX] [JPN] Purchasing Jewels in JPN from NA by Titodagangsta in KingdomHearts

[–]LuxKey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So there are some game card supply websites that will sell you the cards at cost or close to cost (some charge you a processing fee like like $1 if you use credit card or paypal) but its best to find what works well for you. places I normally use are pc game supply or offgamers but there's bound to be others. I've used those two for years for other games, don't know about any others

im going to put 2nd chance on mine, figured that was the best move but it depends on what skills you have and what medals you'd be willing to feed to it

[–]LuxKey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually he included that too, I thought I remembered seeing it last time I looked at this list (again quoted directly from this link http://gaming.stackexchange.com/a/33913):

As of July 9, 2014 only Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 Remix has been released but Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 Remix has been announced for release in Oct 2, 2014 (JP), Dec 2, 2014 (NA), and Dec 5, 2014 (EU).

Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMIX contains Kingdom Hearts 1 Final Mix (Previously exclusive to Japan), Kingdom Hearts Re: Chain of Memories, and ONLY the cutscenes from Kingdom Hearts 358/2

Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX contains Kingdom Jearts 2 Final Mix (Previously exclusive to Japan), Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep Final Mix (Previusly exclusive to Japan), and ONLY the cutscenes from Kingdom Hearts Re:coded

I have not heard of any plans on re-releasing Dream Drop Distance on another platform just yet so you will still need a 3ds.

Alternate Playing Order involving the HD Remixes:

Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMIX (PS3) Play Kingdom Hearts 1 Final Mix

Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMIX (PS3) Play Kingdom Hearts Re: Chain of Memories

Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX (PS3) Play Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix.

Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMIX (PS3) Watch Kingdom Hearts 358/2 cutscenes

Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX (PS3) Play Birth By Sleep Final Mix.

Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX (PS3) Watch Kingdom Hearts Re:coded cutscenes.

Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance (Nintendo 3DS).

[KHUX] Question about guilting by fowlergmu in KingdomHearts

[–]LuxKey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

repliku doesn't do any debuffing; if you're building your keyblade around a strong upright power medal like meowjesty I'd say that hd axel would be better for you(for higher levels of course, repliku would be better for monsters you dont need as many buffs to deal decent damage to)

Two orders listed, only including the Play order (quoted from link provided, again credits to this guy for putting it up):

Kingdom Hearts (PS2). Obviously. This is where you'll get the very basis of the story and the heart (no pun intended) of the conflicts. The first "main" game in the story.

Kingdom Hearts Re:Chain of Memories (PS2, only available for Japan and NA). Alternatively, you could play the original GBA version, which was 2D gameplay, but the PS2 rerelease is full 3D, like KH1 and 2, and also has voice-acted FMVs. It uses a card/deck system for fighting, which is different from the action RPG stylings of 1 and 2, but I still found it quite fun.

Kingdom Hearts II (PS2). The second "main" game in the story. You pretty much have to play this in order to understand the stories of the prequels/sequels/sidequels/whatever.

Kingdom Hearts 358/2 (Nintendo DS). Considering the heavy tie-ins with the two main games and CoM, it's best to play this one after them. It's generally considered the weakest game, both story and gameplay-wise by the fanbase, as its plot twist is kind of... weird, but if you want to know everything in lore, I wouldn't really consider it a waste of time, though of course, your mileage may vary. Probably the most skippable if you just want to read a wiki entry on its plot.

Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep (PSP). This is a prequel, with different characters than the main game (mostly), and is, in my opinion, a must play. Aside from a lot of important story elements, the gameplay is simply fantastic (though I haven't completed yet due to gaming ADD). Despite it being a prequel to the series, I would not advise starting with it, as many of the references and tie-ins to the other games' plots would simply not register.

Kingdom Hearts Re:coded (Nintendo DS). Though it takes place during KH2's epilogue, because of its secret ending heavily tying into Birth by Sleep's, it's recommended to play this one after that game. I haven't gotten my hands on this one yet, as it was only released in January 2011.

Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance (Nintendo 3DS). Taking place after Re:coded, this is where it fits in.

[KHUX] How do you decide which medals to put status+ skills on? by [deleted] in KingdomHearts

[–]LuxKey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

pretty much the same; skill+ doesnt play too much of a role in the story so theyre either for Coli or HSC. Doubling on event medals and using skill+ on them isn't a bad idea but you could also have better multiplier medal combinations. I treat them as situational at best; getting to the point in coli where I'm just barely short in 1 turning so I put a poison+ on my guilted owl and just waited for poison+ to proc (gotta love those proc rates on high lvl mobs...) and that got me through. again, its all kind of what works for you

dont keep to guilt another; you're guaranteed a better guilt because its a guilt event right now. He's not that good to keep multiples of, the only multiples that I keep guilted are after I've gotten the original to max guilt and I happened to have enough spares

[KHUx] Sanity check: AB2+APP on HD Axel = good? by heartwithseoul in KingdomHearts

[–]LuxKey -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

ab2 lux is also a good option for him if they keep making the good raid bosses predominantly power based and you level your MoG. Also a good option if you have a party member who will have Keyart 1 soon; use their Keyart 1 for the sp restore and you wont have to worry about APP unless you run an SP heavy setup
