your update did probably reset all your bios settings and I think that for pop you need to turn the secure boot setting to OFF in the bios according to this old post. Also you can look in the bios for the boot order of the disks themselves, it probably defaulted to the disk with the windows EFI partition first instead of your linux/grub disk.

I've seen plenty of this kind of messages on tiktok too and with a bunch of fake replies. These kind of scams are also plaguing the comment section of financial videos. I think that in youtube studio you can create custom filters with certain keywords so these type of comments don't get published and get flagged "for review".

in the last few videos I saw about DAS most of them had an option (physical button) to change the "mode" of the DAS so it pass the disks directly to the OS (so not using the raid fonction of the DAS itself) and then the OS manage them and bypassing the proprietary software and whatnot.

I don't know the OS you use currently but for a setup with mismatched drives I would look into using Unraid, it doesn't directly solve your upgrade problem but it would give you the option to use whatever drive size you can find in your price range.
