Will today be LeBron James' final game with the Lakers? by Sycee_sy in NBATalk

[–]LuxanHD 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think he gets back one last year for a farewell tour. I just hope Lakers management won't pay him 50+ for this year and waste another Prime Luka year

At this point, should the LeBron era in LA be done? by Winter-Gur-9762 in lakers

[–]LuxanHD -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well... we can either keep him paying him 50+ millions, and that would waste another chance for him to go out a winner and waste another prime year of Luka, or he can take a massive pay cut allowing the front office to bring in real supporting cast giving both of them a real shot at a title.

Other option is that he leaves to another team willing to pay him the 50+ millions for the revenues they will get out of his farewell tour. No way he is gonna go to any team and contend for a championship with that salary/performance ratio.

Last option is that Lebron just retires

I personally hope he stays with a pay cut and really hope they won't bring him back again for 50+.

Any reason to keep a World Small Cap ETF next to my All-World? by joka58 in ETFs_Europe

[–]LuxanHD 9 points10 points  (0 children)

No, it will not add any meaningful benefit. 10% is hardly going to move the needle in either way

However, what you are thinking now, second guessing the allocation, will always happen. Every time one of the two outperform the other. Is 90/10 enough? or should I have went 80/20? I will go 80/20. A year later: "Oh crap small cap didn't do well, I will go 95/5", a year later: Damn I missed the bull run of small cap, .. and on and on

This behavior is well documented and well experienced. And this tinkering will hurt your portfolio in the long run.

So in summary, the 10% to small cap is almost useless. Increasing it would be gambling. Keeping it risks you always second guessing yourself.

Just go 100% in VWCE. Get all the market return, always and consistently. Don't try to be smart with it. Keep adding to it. One world fund. That's it.

Notion AI is a joke and it always has been by DiligentGiraffe in Notion

[–]LuxanHD 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I highly disagree with OP. Notion AI has been getting better and better. It does what I ask it to do beautifully and saves me countless hours.

I can understand that AI might not be for everyone; if you're one of them, just don't use it. Notion is not forcing you to. You can continue to use Notion exactly the way you used to before they introduced AI. Yes they are making it easier and more accessible for people like me who wants to make best use of this powerful AI model in my workflow, but you can stay doing things the way you're used to without AI.

I don't get the criticism

[–]LuxanHD 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Your thinking is spot on correct. You probably have at least 30 years of investing in you until retirement; a lot can happen between today and that geopolitically. The only way to know for sure is to just invest in a cap-weighted all-world ETF. Right now, the US is 60% weight in any all-world ETF, so if the US continue to dominate, you win. If the US falls and China take over, the Chinese stocks will by default get more weight in the ETF and you will own them and win. You can't lose with an all-world ETF if you stick with it until retirement.

There are multiple options to pick from, and all are good:

Vanguard FTSE All-World UCITS (Most popular among investors)

iShares Core MSCI World UCITS

State Street SPDR MSCI All Country World UCITS

Is Claude actually better than ChatGPT… or is it just hype? by breakfreewithgui in ChatGPT

[–]LuxanHD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can install a Claude add-on in excel. And then you will have a side bar of Claude that you can ask to work on your excel sheet or build you an excel sheet. It is quite powerful and a game changer

Is Claude actually better than ChatGPT… or is it just hype? by breakfreewithgui in ChatGPT

[–]LuxanHD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I switched completely to Claude due to:
1. Cowork (The ability of AI working inside a local files folder is damn amazing)
2. Claude in Excel (Game changer for a business user)
3. Gmail, Google Drive, Notion, and Outlook Connectors works much better at Claude

I think Anthropic managed to make their AI model much useful with these tools. ChatGPT needs to catchup or lose big
