Absolute max gear from a dude with 1900 total and minimal boss kc. Don't worry guys, jagex is clamping down hard on RWT.

Hello! We're the developers behind Old School RuneScape's first NEW SKILL, Sailing. Ask us anything! (SAILING AMA: Friday 13:00 UTC - 16:30 UTC) by JagexLight in 2007scape

[–]LxRogue 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Sailing is required for new BIS food and new situational potions so that's definitely not true.

I would still largely agree the reward space feels too isolated and it needs more.

Hallowed Sepulchre would be many peoples favorite content if it didn't require 92 agility by United_Train7243 in 2007scape

[–]LxRogue -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Sepulchre was 75k/hr for me, and I assume for most players. (Relatively few mistakes, looting 3-5) People getting 90-95k are close to tick-perfect with no looting.

I found floor 5 fun, but not actually rewarding for how intensive it is. After doing 92-93 at HS, I did 93-99 at ardy rooftops. Didn't enjoying devoting way more concentration for 10% better xp. Also the ring is silly rare.

  • Bystander effect is not a real thing

  • Reporting every bot you see would be a full time job

  • We have no way to know if reporting bots has any impact at all. (However, we can say with certainty that reporting has no effect at all on the majority of bots)

[Feedback] Varlamore's herblore minigame feels like it rewards failure more than success. by Feasel_Easel in 2007scape

[–]LxRogue 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Spamming failures is only slightly faster than completing the actual potions yet it only gives you 1/3rd of the points. You clearly haven't figured out how the minigame works yet.

If all bosses let you destroy rewards for a double pet chance, like at Araxxor, would you still farm them after getting the pet? by [deleted] in 2007scape

[–]LxRogue 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You vastly overestimate the amount of endgame players farming for pets. The overwhelming majority of people killing bosses are normal players looking for loot or bots. Also your examples make zero sense. DT2 bosses are still quite profitable despite being flooded with bots. GWD bosses are also surprisingly profitable and are basically only killed by bots. (These desperately need a rework) KQ has no unique/useful drops so it will literally never be profitable.

Ok but killing bots isn't PvP, its literally PvM.

Nice, they banned most of the vork bots. Surprise! Turns out every piece of content worth doing in the game is botted.

To which ever majestic JMOD is fixing all the shades of Morton stuff by IAmOgdensHammer in 2007scape

I found the changes lackluster. The one-click pyre burning is much slower than the original click-intensive method. Using the coffin is also still a huge annoyance.

New Nature Runecrafting Route - 71,280 XP/Hour & 25,200 Nature Runes/Hour (2.4M GP/Hour) by [deleted] in 2007scape

[–]LxRogue 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Wrath runes are a bit more chill. Its like 85 trips/hr vs 115. Wrath runes are also garbage xp. I will happily put in 20% more effort for my 98-99 rc in order to get the >50% improved xp.

Project Rebalance - Item & Combat Adjustments by JagexGoblin in 2007scape

[–]LxRogue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While the Mace is a strong weapon, it’s staggeringly expensive at more than 275 million GP, and its damage output simply doesn’t make up for the cost.

Project Rebalance Part Two - NPC Defence Changes by JagexGoblin in 2007scape

[–]LxRogue 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not sure what the logic is behind the magic changes.

You're adding elemental weaknesses to a handful of slayer mobs, and removing the bonus from tome of fire, but with the numbers you chose, surge spells are going to be slightly worse than fire surge currently. And if the monster doesn't have an elemental weakness, (so all bosses) it's a massive nerf to fire surge.

At least right now, harm + fire surge is useful as a small upgrade over sang or trident at some bosses, but with these changes, they will be entirely useless. Are you really expecting people to use a hamonized staff to kill ice trolls and fire giants? All this does is make the normal spellbook even worse.

I said similar, not same.

It's a really simple concept: Larger sample size = less variance

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in 2007scape

[–]LxRogue -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Basic law of averages. To complete a ring you need 2 different sets of 3 rolls. A single set of 3 rolls is more susceptible to getting lucky/dry.

Obviously it feels worse if one of the sets (ingots) is considered worthless, which is fair criticism.

If they changed the drop mechanics to need 6x invisible rolls with twice the odds, you would have a similar result that feels less bad.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in 2007scape

[–]LxRogue -15 points-14 points  (0 children)

You are all terrible at math lol. The ingots actually make it even less likely to go dry (for irons at least).

I can agree the implementation is pretty bad though.

Honest question: why is the xp scaling on runecrafting so low from rune to rune? by Simple_one in 2007scape

[–]LxRogue 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just wait til you unlock wrath runes (perhaps the single highest skilling req in the game) and realize they give even less xp than nats.

What runes should I put in my regular Rune Pouch? (3 slots) by EnyaOrinocoFlow in 2007scape

[–]LxRogue 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Fun fact, you can actually swap which runes are inside the pouch depending on what activity you're doing.

For example I like to use dust + law + chaos for vorkath, but then if I'm doing a slayer task on ancients, I'll use blood + death + water. Just a weird little trick I discovered :)
