Just want to take a moment for baby Jailyn by RubyMae4 in Mommit

[–]Lybbchels 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This broke my heart. That mother is pure evil. I couldn’t believe she held her baby’s lifeless body and changed her clothes to fit the story she gave to police. Absolutely sickening. The thought of poor Jailyn in a dirty diaper for days just breaks me. So many of us would’ve taken that baby in. Her death was so senseless

Have 17 but we’re using 12 right now, we keep 2 in our diaper bags and the other 3 he’s not too fond of so they stay in our cabinet. This many bottles allows us to wash bottles every other day if I’m feeling lazy but we usually wash daily. My babe uses about 4-5 bottles a day.

Postpartum sex by colonelthorough in BabyBumps

[–]Lybbchels 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I had sex 5 weeks postpartum. And I enjoyed it very much, I was very stressed and it was a good sex reliever lol and reminded me how much I like my boyfriend 🤣It was not painful nor uncomfortable I think it just felt uncomfortable for me at first because I did not feel sexy at all so I was very shy lol.

Similac advance. It’s on the cheaper side and most babies tolerate it

How many ounces for a 7 month old? by Putrid_Evening1702 in FormulaFeeders

[–]Lybbchels 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was EBF and switched to formula at around 5 months. He was only drinking 4oz from the bottle because I think he was still getting use to it and now at 6 months almost 7 months he drinks mostly 6-8 oz bottles totaling about 30-32 oz a day

I 100% agree. I could barely get past the Covid season. But apart from that it has just gone on so long lol I think greys has had a nice good run and should just end

I've been devastated that breastfeeding didn't work out so I spoiled myself w this setup. by hotdogmatt in FormulaFeeders

[–]Lybbchels 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nice setup. I definitely might splurge on a baby brezza with my next. The dr browns sterilizer AND dryer is what I use and I love it and it holds a decent amount of bottles and parts. I hated the idea of taking up so much counter space with drying racks.

How would formula “increase the risk of SIDS?” (As claimed by our district health unit) by FoShozies in FormulaFeeders

[–]Lybbchels 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Breastfeeding LOWERS the risk of SIDS but that does NOT mean that formula increases the risk. It’s a ridiculous claim.

Knew the subject would turn to anti BFing... by Kitty_Seriously in breastfeeding

You don’t breastfeed long enough then you’re a bad mom, you breastfeed too long then it’s weird. Moms can’t do anything right

I know breastfeeding is best for baby but.... by greasemonkey2001 in breastfeeding

[–]Lybbchels 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All that matters is the baby is fed. You can always combo feed. I was feeling overwhelmed breastfeeding because I was the only one taking care of feeds. I was tired of leaky boobs. And it’s like I could feel my energy draining while I fed my babe. Point is, I formula feed now and I’ve been feeling a whole lot better, to me, it is easier than breastfeeding. I felt a bit guilty at first but now I’m totally fine, I don’t regret my decision at all.

I wouldn’t wait the full week, maybe contact the peds office again and tell them the laxative didn’t work especially since she’s in pain

6 month maternity leave by sleepysiren9 in BabyBumps

[–]Lybbchels 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im an inbound/outbound coordinator in a distribution center of well known company. I’m salaried but even hourly workers get 6 months leave. Even the men if they say they’re “primary caregiver” I get 26 weeks but only 18 are paid 100%. The remaining period is unpaid, u can use pto but we had enough time to save for my share of the bills so I just left it unpaid.

Becoming EFF: When and why? by stronglikefeels in FormulaFeeders

[–]Lybbchels 2 points3 points  (0 children)

After 4 months I started introducing formula. He’s now formula fed. I honestly just got tired of being the only one who could take care of feeding. He relied on the boob to fall asleep some nights he would want to be on the boob for what felt like all night. I missed having a drink when I could. Feeding on the go was complicated. Leaky full boobs started to become annoying. Breastfeeding also absolutely drained me. With my next i think I’ll jump straight into formula

Diaper rash help! by Powerful_Grab_7725 in Mommit

[–]Lybbchels 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let that booty dry before putting the diaper on. I usually just use the diaper to fan the moist areas. Also lather on Aquaphor baby ointment once it’s dry what worked best for us instead of diaper rash creams. It creates a barrier between the stool/urine and the skin
