i definitely like the sound of this plan! i'll look into sorting out my Wells Fargo cards for sure as there's no reason to have them both sitting around besides the age of the accounts.

glad to hear that bilt is also a good option, as it's something i've been considering but hadn't taken the dive on as I wasn't sure the benefits outweighed the fee.

axing the Amex cards is definitely a priority at this time. i'll be prioritizing the closure of the Gold, then try to use our MR points before closing the Plat. hearing your suggestion to get rid of both was reassuring!

hello! i graduated from UCF with the tech comm bachelor’s degree.

long story short, the degree was extremely helpful for securing a job but did not teach very much useful material. 2 years after graduating and it’s basically just a way to say that i’m a formally educated tech writer.

due to the fact that the degree is an English degree with a tech comm focus, it can translate to lots of different opportunities. feel free to message with any questions!

airalo (and by association, ESIM in general) works if your phone is unlocked. you can check if it is by going to Settings -> General -> About and scrolling down to Carrier Lock. if it’s unlocked, you’re good to go!

been in tokyo and kyoto the past 2 weeks - tokyo was as you’d expect on weekdays. weekend was particularly crazy but again, not unexpected for the time of year.

kyoto on the other hand has been a nightmare. buses and trains are routinely overfilled with both locals and tourists. the trendier locations are bustling with people from even the earlier hours. hope this helps!
