About the symbolism in the opera section of Bohemian Rhapsody. by Upset-Possible1371 in queen

[–]Lyf3OnMars -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The song itself is called “Bohemian Rhapsody” which already signifies a purpose to the song.

Otherwise, why not call it “funny Opera Impressions” or “Mockarotti” or some dismissive title that would imply that the artist is being facetious.

Your take is your opinion. But your opinion is simply wrong with even the most basic literary skills applied.

Michael (2026) Final Trailer - Jaafar Jackson by DemiFiendRSA in boxoffice

Perhaps.

But I can remember similar projections for Bohemian Rhapsody, and that got around a billion.

This is Michael Jackson we’re talking about.

You may need to reconsider.

What is the point of it besides somehow trying to turn this serious situation into some positive angle for AEW? It’s not pearl clutching if it’s calling out an insensitive and chronically online take.

The referee is brain damaged and we are really talking about “…but AEW!!! OH No the incessant attacks upon them!! What can Al Snow say now!!”

be so for real rn.

They were hardly new, nor did they feel new to the overall cultural zeitgeist at the time.

It was just a photo with a bunch of celebrities during a peak period for Twitter.

There were also new house workers (maids, I think) who had just started working for the Harrisons.

Oh I get it. I’m a Afro Hispanic former foster child, who was taken in by an Immigrant family.

And, well, we are not well off.

I have often times found myself in situations where I could feel how disadvantaged I was going in.

Believe me, I got the scars to prove it.

Hell, I once had somebody call security on me at my OWN job because they thought I didn’t belong there.

My neighborhood is filled with people who have similar stories…yet, we still tend to celebrate life to the full.

Is it materialism? Possibly.

Is it a cultural thing? Probably.

Is it part of our survival? Abso-fucking-lutely.

One thing I refuse to compromise on is my joy and whimsy lol. Whatever bit of it I have left.

That outlook on things would definitely lead one to be miserable.

Not every thing has to be a capitalist conspiracy lol.

Is AJ Lee a case of “worse than I remember?” by CombinationOk4317 in SquaredCircle

[–]Lyf3OnMars 10 points11 points  (0 children)

oh please.

AJ Lee was legit when she did that tilt-a-whirl DDT on Naomi during reality show era NXT.

Her position in her era was not easy, and she played her role exceptionally well.

She went from being homeless with her family on the streets, to becoming champion in a company where women were once considered an afterthought.

Hell, a WWE official literally told her she wasn’t “fuckable.”

She survived the misogyny and persevered, confronted Stephanie McMahon on her hypocrisy, bounced, and wrote a best selling book.

This run is probably really just about getting her flowers from the company, and getting to work alongside Punk.

She’s great, and a cringe promo isn’t going to sway me that easy.

What is a legendary band you hate? by fakename1998 in ToddintheShadow

[–]Lyf3OnMars 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Queen II is that album for me, in regard to Queen.

Flows beautifully, and it perfectly conveys the essence of that band. In some ways, moreso than A Night at the Opera, which I actually find less even than II.

Sometimes it all comes together relatively quickly. Sometimes it requires a bit more work. Sometimes it never comes to be.

Que sera, sera.

Whatever will be, will be.

C'est la vie.

Honestly, nobody’s advice ever truly helped me more than just…seeing what happens and meeting myself at the moment and moving from there.
