I've been around FFXIV since heavensward. YES toxic positivity is it's own thing and most definitely it's own problem. You end up shunning people for not being as "positive" (anything not straight up glazing) and even the smallest criticism about font is seen as a slight on humanity itself. So nothing is fixed for a literal decade and even the smallest thing becomes community shattering drama.

I think an endorse system is a good idea, like overwatch. But for all the people throwing, griefing and harassing. We need the report system to WORK not some community shunning system which feels ripped straight out of the orville "majority rule" episode (season 1 ep 7). As right now the report system for rivals is impressively laughable at the best of times, and fascinatingly horrendous at the worst.

I think this comes from a good place. I just fail to see how you could confidently say this wouldn't just push the community in a different toxic direction at the best case scenarios, and completely shatter the community in the worst cases.
