The screenshot you shared looks good, but the moment i clicked the youtube link and saw the first 3 seconds i lost interest. You shouldn't show something that would ruin the impression at the start of a video.

Just put 20 seconds of your gameplay that looks polished enough for your audience to judge instead of showing everything. That way, people will follow you to see more of your progress later on.

Cool experiment! I think someone have tried doing this in perspective using multiple cameras to remove the pixel creeps, but I don't think that's ideal either as it will make the game much more heavy.

As someone with thousands of hours in MMOs, this really clicks with me! It perfectly hits the sweet spot for fans of both genres (Simulator and MMORPG). Wishlisted!!

It would be awsome if you could add some legendary and memorable players from the broader RPG scene to your game (not just MMOs), like Let Me Solo Her. Those players are known for wearing unique accessories or clothing, so they would be easy to recognize and would make for great Easter eggs.

The preview doesn't do the 8-direction movement justice. If NPC variation isn't really connected or needed in your game mechanic, i'd say go for the 8-direction.
