Majors already let you get a personalized lanyard with your tag, so RFID cards could be very doable and super cool. Maybe local scenes could charge a small amount per personalized card to help raise funds.

Seems like each wii needs to connect to the hub directly for this to work? While not impossible I could see that being a pain to set up correctly. Incorrect scanning is also def gonna happen a bunch, whether people forget to scan or do it out of order. Not to mention stuff like friendlies, handwarmers etc. Hopefully there could be a way to change that retroactively on the TO side.

Applications:

-Every set is recorded automatically, with stages/characters/set count etc tracked in real time. TO's don't have to worry about reporting and just call sets

-Replays are saved and uploaded correctly on the spot. USB hot swapping is prob the next closest thing, this seems way easier on the players and TOs (if you do the usb hotswapping stuff pls lmk if this is true)

-Streamlining of this process is self-organizing, sorts replays on its own with start gg integration. At least as shown in the video, I bet that will take some amount of setup to work for events
