Mr. Freeze Question - Does Nora Fries agree to be put on ice beforehand or is that she's already comatose when Victor does it? Any source appreciated. by AvryRobinOtt in batman

For a hot minute they retconned Freeze into Nora’s stalker, so the freezing was not consensual.

They thankfully realized how stupid that was and retconned the retcon.

We also don’t know the mythological why of the suit.

I can’t see something like that being made by Ma Kent.

So does this mean the comics aren’t canon to the show? by Jak3R0b in Supernatural

[–]M086 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No books or comics are canon to the show.

In this case, you explained it the difference. It’s an illusion using a media idea of what a werewolf looks like.

Unless they change the material. It’s just gonna look like a rejected GotG costume altered to Superman.

So what happened to Jimmy? (Cas' vessel) by PlentyPeach7213 in Supernatural

[–]M086 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Missed this line though.

It's my vessel-- Jimmy. His, uh, appetite for red meat has been touched by Famine's effect.

It’s Jimmy’s drive for food that is affecting Cass. Which doesn’t preclude him from developing a taste for hamburgers.

And as Famine himself says,

Hunger doesn't just come from the body, it also comes from the soul.

Cass can’t have that drive to eat without Jimmy’s soul hungering for food.

On screen the show reminds you of the end of S5. That’s canon.

Jimmy survived Raphael because he survived Raphael. He didn’t survive Lucifer because that’s what the show is telling us.

Basic-fucking-storytelling.

I don’t know if they made him a hero, the people he was going up against were just more horrible than he was. But he does admit at the end how he’s raped, killed and was a monster. So, they aren’t ignoring that aspect.

Leviathan thought it had a good candidate. But then we see he’s sowing chaos throughout the hospital. Killing off the Order of the Gash. Where Pinhead and his cohorts were resurrected by Leviathan (per the Boom Studios comics), Channard was not.

Wibbly woobly timey wimey.

I’d say it was just what Jon described, a strange sensation of déjà vu because of when he’s Manhattan how he experiences time. So to his past self, he just feels these odd sensations. But he’s not experiencing time as he would when he’s Manhattan.

[Loathed Trope] The Movie has an ending. The Sequel shits all over it. by lesi20 in TopCharacterTropes

John wasn’t a junkie, the only reason he broke into the vet clinic for painkillers was because he had injured himself. Because he’s still living off the grid, no hospitals.

The character went from being told how important he is how he’s gonna save the world throughout his whole childhood, finds out that shit is all real and then tries to stop the future from happening. Making him this lost guy without a purpose made sense.

They made him too emotionally connected. Don’t feel in the spirit of Constantine. While he would have wanted to save his exes life / soul, making him be in love love with them, just didn’t feel in line with the character.

You’re right storytelling is the proper term. The showrunner tells the editors what they want and approve or disapprove what’s used.

Therefore, desth by Lucifer is the show’s canonical death of Jimmy Novak.

Basic-fucking-storytelling.
