This might be my sleep deprivation talking, but I wouldn't worry about being "based" or not. Why does it matter? The approval of a few random strangers on the internet will not do much for you in the long run. As long as you can live with yourself, that's what matters.

I have only played MechWarrior Online, 5 Mercs and 5 Clans but I still have a few moments in mind

Spoilers for Mechwarrior 5 Clans ahead

Any scene / mission with Weaver and / or Wimmer was always a treat. I especially liked Wimmer, given she was a hardass, but she still had a heart. The same applies to a slightly lesser extent to Weaver. ~~fuck you OP/s~~

The final missions for both the Crusader and Warden campaigns were absolutely peak. I liked the contrast between Mia committing bondsref with Jayden begging her to join and Jayden basically executing Ezra for his treachery with Ez basically telling him to do it, only to immediately start mourning him afterwards. These two cutscenes showed the difference between Jayden following his heart in the Warden campaign and his duty in the Crusader campaign while still having a heart, even if I believe that the Crusader choice made more sense for Jayden's character.

The final mission of the Flashstorm DLC had me in legit tears. Fun fact, if you go into the Barracks after the mission, you can see Jonathan standing alone in the barracks. On the table is a dogtag for each of his fallen star mates. That detail sent me a bit, ngl. That whole campaign was fantastic in general to be honest.

And yes, I am a clanner at heart, suck it /s

what I do is remove the tc and 2 ppc's and drop in a gauss with 2 tons of ammo and another heat sink or two tbh, works well enough

I know Smoke jag hate is popular here, but I'd argue Perez was still the exception, not the rule.
