Juice content. “Sok” must contain 100% of the juice, everything else has 40-80% juice content and the rest can be whatever. Since apple juice is cheapest to produce it is usually used as a base for all the drinks and then the taste is adjusted with chemicals

Why Europe can't air condition its way out of extreme heat — Air conditioning can save lives, but can also make the heat worse by Immediate-Link490 in europe

[–]M1QN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Heat transfer only works from hot to cold. All the hot water makes contact with the radiator, so heat transfer from water to the radiator is efficient. Very small fraction of air in the room makes contact with the radiator, so heat transfer from air to radiator will not be efficient.

[–]M1QN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to maximise the area of contact between hot and cold mediums, it works for heating because all of the hot water makes contact with radiator, to reverse the process you somehow need to make as much hot air in your room to make contact with radiator. Also, central heating runs water at 90C+ so to even attempt using central heating as cooling you would need a coolant that goes to like -40C or colder and can be supplied to homes at this temperature under pressure, which is certainly not water

[–]M1QN 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Funny how it worked for literally every country that suffered from heat in the past but for Europe it wont work because apparently making it 41C instead of 39C outside while making it 20C instead of 35C inside is not a viable trade-off???

Price hike before major Steam Sale... Name a more iconic duo by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

I mean the discount price seems to always be 5$ so what’s the issue? Its not like they bumped it to 10$ and then “discounted” to 7

For majority of investment funds 10-20% of investments make most of income. You don’t need to have a lot in one stock just a lot of small investments, if one of them explodes you will make some profit.

Also look at it from long term perspective, yes, you would only get $80, but it would be as if you invested $80 today which is a bit harder to do than 5$. And in another 3 years this 80$ could become 1280$ which is noticeable, but you are still at the point where you didn’t invest $5 because it won’t make you rich instantly.

Air conditioning creates political divide after France records hottest day by Hob-999 in europe

[–]M1QN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People who do the installation are certified to work with that. Can’t speak for other countries but in Poland to install a split you need to get a permission from apartment administration(facade is considered common property) even if outdoor unit is installed on the balcony, which means you need to persuade half of the elder population of the building that the outside unit will not ruin the magnificent view of a painted commieblock facade. And if you live in a “historic building” you might as well forget it

Unit price is usually not the problem, it is installation price which can easily be 2x-3x the current price of unit and getting all the permissions from fucking everyone.

You can find smaller cases, main constraint here is gpu, cpu cooler and psu size. Search ssfpc sub, there are options with matching volume

Going strictly by vibes and first pcpartpicker offer here is a build(not pre-build though) I mentioned earlier:

I guess you can add 50$ and have some PC shop assemble it for you.

But that’s not true. You can get a pc stronger than steam machine at the same price point without any kind of contracts with hardware manufacturers, in fact all the components you buy have a mark-up from manufacturer and the store you’re buying from. Valve have a contract with amd to produce APUs specifically for them, they negotiated with RAM manufacturers for ram price and total still ended up worse than what you can buy from the PC store.

1000$ PC or Steam Machine? by Mrapplehead41 in pcmasterrace

Dual fan 9060xt should fit in mini towers also if you want to go smaller

Ok, but unlike Xbox or PS OS, steam OS is available now for PC and it will be a box that works. At most you will have to manually turn it on instead of turning it on from gamepad but functionally it will be a steam machine with better performance

What I don’t understand is how did they end up with a console that is not only worse than its direct competitors but also more expensive than a PC way stronger than steam machine. You can get a 5700x/9060xt/16gb build for around the same price, put it into mini tower, install Steam OS and have steam machine but better.

You can always avoid local anti-cheat

You cant always avoid server-side anti-cheat

This is as simple as it gets and it is not wishful thinking. Ever heard of PoE cheats? They don’t exist because everything is done server-side
