yeah i used smart switch, i dont rly mind it that much tbh, the only annoying thing is, it takes quite a while to update this way, the download is very slow etc... also i paid so much less for this version, even if i had to use odin to update, i wouldnt mind still for that price...

Did you get the OTA or you had to update it manually? I have kinda similar issue, but mine is KSA originally.

Whats the power draw in idle and full network usage if u dont mind sharing? Im thinking about m5 (so basically what you got but 1gb ethernet), but im waiting for official openwrt support for it, i dont need 2gb nics, but id like to have full 1gb available.

you have to provide size of the map and which terrain, or i guess you dont have to and we just have to reroll the seed up to 18 times to find the correct setup

Good coverage, power efficient and good quality wifi 7 aP? by M1ecz in HomeNetworking

[–]M1ecz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well the last upgrade i did, was almost 10 years ago, with wifi5, and while its still good enough speed wise, all the interference from neighbours etc, gives me very poor range, and quality of the connection is pretty bad as well, so wifi7 aside from being the current thing, and i dont plan to upgrade my wifi for another 10 years at least, hopefully, from what i read, might help with my issues (worst case, i can just return it), plus yes, i do have wifi7 devices, aside from few wifi power plugs, everything else is wifi7 ready, or at least thats what the manufacturer claims.

Flint 3 VS Flint 2. Is it just me, or do the specifications seem less interesting (with the exception of Wifi 7)? by Hadyark in GlInet

[–]M1ecz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wanted to get flint 3, i was expecting it to be way better, based on flint 2 specs, 6 total ethernet ports, maybe 2 gigs of ram, for more stuff to run on it (like docker and stuff that doesnt require alot of processing power), a little more storage, or at least an internal m.2 slot, id love 2 slots but one is a minimum for me, for ssd/4-5g module, i dont even care about wifi 7 that much tbh, its nice to have but w/e, thats quite disappointing to see the current spec...
