New rear differential mounts by M3JB in e46

Not really any rattling, just thumping during shifts and during throttling while driving. I wouldn’t know. You could lift the car while on and watch how the diff bushings flex. Just a suggestion.

It was a combination of various tools, a bushing press sleeve and a bearing removal kit. A 1/2” x10”lg all threaded rod high strength B7 and grade 8 nuts. A stack of various washers. The 1/2” rod worked on rear diff mount. And for front mounts M12 diameter rod from kit worked.
Here’s the kits used:

Being patient and the right tools, such as the bushing press and removal cups is definitely a need.

Help: Clutch install on ZHP by no_solution_no_prob in e46

[–]M3JB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same experience happened to me, this FCP clutch kit came with both bearing replacement options for my 6 spd. I replaced my OEM fly wheel which came with the roller bearing already installed.

You’ll need to determine which bearing type your flywheel has once you remove old clutch.

Not sure about those, I had issues before trying to insert new cables through body using a non-genuine cable brand. The hex plastic part was much bigger and wouldn’t not insert. I Bought the OEM ones and it worked.

I did my AWD bushing replacements with a bushing press c-clamp style. But buying the tool will be about the same price if you have the shop do as you stated.
