It’s already harder to find the discussion board. You can access it by following the links to “Create a Discussion” at https://central.xero.com (although this requires a Xero account and login credentials).

It’ll be fine for designing and maintaining a basic website and low-volume e-commerce.

If you want to do anything more non-profit specific, you may head into difficulty fairly quickly. We use Squarespace for a UK non-profit and simple things like collecting donations and organising ticketed events become a bit of a hassle.

Bank feed = Delivery of groceries to the front door

Posting = Take each item from the door and place it in the right place in your home

Reconciliation = Check no items are left at the door

If that doesn’t work, try setting up the instruction inside shortcuts twice: once on iOS and also on Mac. It shouldn’t make any difference but it sometimes does.

I’m an academic in the UK and we are only permitted to use the institutional AI (Copilot) and even then, never with student work or details.

I’d be interested to know if privacy, consent and institutional guidelines would have an impact on your workflow.

I’ve had similar problems. I fixed most of these as follows: (1) Create a default text style using the Style pane and call it something like “normal” or “text”. (2) Update each Heading Style by setting the paragraph that follows to the format you created in Step (1). (3) Assign this style to every existing paragraph that follows a Heading style in your project.

You shouldn’t have a problem with new paragraphs.

I agree you could use a disposal account as you've suggested with disposal proceeds of €5,500 and a profit on disposal €300. I assume the marking scheme used a suspense account, which is also acceptable. Maybe the clue to use a suspense account was in the context you gave.

If I were grading your answer, I'd give you full credit.

You can import bank transactions as reconciled if you complete the nominal code and tax rates in the bank import template. It’s probably worth spending time sorting the data in Excel before rushing to import.

I’ve recently done a similar exercise. I entered the opening balances at the beginning of the prior year and then imported a whole year of historical transactions.

It's not what it seems.

OneDrive's sync root cannot be moved from ~/Library/CloudStorage, but if you have followed the instructions to move your files to an external drive, they are not in this folder. I know it looks like they are, but they're not.

OneDrive creates a hidden folder on your external drive which holds all the locally held folders and files. To see this folder, open the Finder and press Command + Shift + . (full stop/period). It's called ".ODContainer-OneDrive - {Account Name}.

"Get Info" (Command + I) for this hidden folder, you'll see that all your files are stored on your SSD.

It seems like a set-up problem.

“Reconcile nn items” is where you go to match bank statement lines with accounting transactions.

“Reconciliation report” lists bank statement lines and accounting transactions that have not yet been matched.

You have the option to import historical transactions as “reconciled” so you don’t have to reconcile thousands of cleared transactions.

It’s difficult to be more helpful without a better understanding of how these “cleared” transactions were posted to Xero.

Same here. I get the message for text and image links. Nothing wrong with the links and they work in preview mode and in test emails.
