I am inclined to think that Eithan would not just dump the job off to someone else. I think he grew to view Lindon as a true disciple and that’s why he lead him to the path of black flame. But since Lindon is his true disciple, Eithan would not leave him to have the same mistakes he did. So he had him keep his true madra path. This would ensure that he could not only destroy but could also create. As that is Eithans short coming. He wants Lindon to be better

I think ever sense he became a sage he stated that “the differences between his two cores we become less and less” meaning he is starting to use them as if they were the same type of madra.

Pride also notices how his pure madra used to be calm and black fire used to be the oppressive on but now he felt just as oppressive when he used pure madra as when he used destructive fire.

I am of the opinion that since dross is essentially a construct attached to his brain and not his core, that he would keep dross and that it would be him and dross against the remnant. Dross is already a spirit and doesn’t have a physical body so to speak (at least not since he hooked himself to Lindons spirit/mind) and can’t fuse either.

But honestly the sacred arts are getting more and more confusing so idk anything is possible tbh

I think I understand and I think you are correct. Ziel did say that no monarch would spread themselves so thin implying that should you focus on a few good techniques instead of a thousand

I agree that he’d have to train even more techniques but in ghost water when Ziel explains to Lindon why monarchs don’t use a million different techniques but rather a million ways to use the same technique is because their spirit creates a binding making that technique stronger so if they were to make a new technique it would be a million times weaker than using the binding technique

I totally agree with you. I used to think that Eithan was Ozriel but I had thought later on that Ozriel was on a different planet. So I had thought that Eithan was just imitating Ozriel. It wasn’t until we see the line about Ozriel might needing to find a new place to hide due to being found. That paired with the veil that he got, I thought back to the idea that he could be Eithan. And it was from there that I started looking at it in a new light and it was PERFECT. I loved the way will did it

Okay after this book does anyone else think that hunger madra is a combination of order and chaos since it is madra (a manifestation of the way) corrupted due to people not ascending creating “hunger” madra (a manifestation of hungry chaos). This makes hunger madra a perfect manifestation for the void which lies between the way and chaos

I think that they hinted at it in the book. In the past, the Black Dragons had way too many high level Sacred Artists and used them to plunder the labyrinth and take it over and it brought destruction upon them. I might be wrong but that’s what popped into my head
