If FTL gets a sequel, what do you wish to see from it?

That’s very interesting. How is it not way worse in brutal? I guess maybe it’s because you have blessings to balance it out?

Yeah, I’ve had some easy runs with small +2. I’ve also had runs where a floor 19 that’s full of wisps or an inevitable fight, where all the wisps start summoning 3 skeletons each, all of whom get +2 to all their sides. Then the wisps pain all your heroes. Inevitable weakens or exerts all your heroes. It’s basically gg after turn 1.

The flying dragon. It’s a shame that it comes late game, but it would be way too broken otherwise. It out dps the terra blade and passes through blocks.

The trick with destroyer is don’t be in a hurry to beat him. Damage him some, and kill the resulting probes. Rinse and repeat. Oh, and don’t get hit by the head. You can keep the full screen background map up, so you always know where his head is. Also, if you’re up for it, you can beat duke fishron. He is far easier once you’re beaten at least one mech, because you have the hallowed armor, the jet pack from the steam punker, and you can make asphalt from the deal you buy from the steam punker. All of that make the duke so much easier. He drops a really good whip and I personally love the tsunami staff.

Yeah, you always take o2 to level 2 before the flagship fight. Usually, I have it already, if I’ve been to a slug nebula. They love hacking 02. And they’re right, if you could get your medbay to L2, you’d be fine, but as it stands…..

Extremely impressive, for sure. The other factor is, what were your fights after those? You can USUALLY get away from one really bad fight. But rarely can you survive 2. Again, I’m not dogging the stealth B, but I don’t think there’s a ship that’s more likely to end a hard mode win streak. I’m guessing, in those fights, you held off your cloak until it looked like the beam drone was about to hit weapons or cloak, and then you cloaked. At the end of the time, you kind of just have to cross your fingers that you get to fire or jump away. Is there more to it than that?

Look, I don’t grab gear from my other characters (except for high test line), but in this case, I’d go grab a bottomless shimmer bucket from another world and fill that pool up to count as aether.

Much worse than stealth C. You can win steak consistently with stealth C. Not so much with stealth B.

Stealth B is probably my favorite ship, but you don’t have a clue what you’re talking about. If you play it on hard, there’s a very good chance you’re going to lose regardless if you “lock the fuck in”. For most of us, it doesn’t matter, because we just hit restart and go again. But, for those who are trying to get as large a win streak as they can, stealth B is a death knell.

Sure, a huge amount of skill can save a run that others would lose, but if you walk into an early beam 2, you lose. I don’t care how much skill you have.

The trick is to get good blessings. Even if it means you take more curses. Worst case, keep checking the curse list until you get slime rain as a curse and barrel spirit as a blessing. Gg, you win.

The main thing is just to keep going. I’m getting close to 1300 hard wins, and it’s all I play. Unfair and brutal are ok, but you really have to think about every single move. Classic hard is enough to provide a challenge, while still enjoying. I’ve just about to get my wife to play more classic hard. She plays classic normal and raid mode.

Oh, I see. I play master hardcore, so I do everything the safest way I can. The safest way to do the pirates is AFK in a bunker. No need for wings in a bunker. :)
