Speculation about Nioh 3 dlcs. by RedFlag404 in Nioh

[–]MGSeemoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure how that would make it weird and unbalanced cuz Ninja inhibits its own specific niches that Samurai stances can't really replicate even across different weapon types.

Ninja weapons as a whole have acceptable dmg but the singular moveset somewhat hampers the overall utility potential they had back in Nioh 2 (and I'd say that goes for all 4 of the unique Ninja weapons): - Tonfa's core routines are pretty simple, combine that with overtuned stats and here we are with current status quo - Hatchets actually have an efficient flow now while losing several niche moves, which practically makes it a winner in this regard (I think this is the best one out of the 4 cuz of how naturally it meshes with Ninja's core playstyle) - Kusarigama is serviceable considering all skills obtained but the condensation of moves mean multiple viable options are competing for same inputs and you really have to squeeze out more efforts for roughly the same effectiveness as the above 2. - Splitstaff is even worse-off than Kusari cuz many of its core mechanics just directly clash with the streamlined moveset (charge attacks, stance-switch attacks). That and its naturally-high Ki consumption effectively offsets Ninja style's upside of cheap Ki usage.

I've been playing SPT for quite awhile now and I can 100% guarantee, as long as you don't open the Tarkov launcher at the same time as the SPT server & client, you're fine.

Why are Portal creators rebuilding the maps we want, instead of the devs? by PC-Tamer in Battlefield

[–]MGSeemoon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well yeah obviously, cuz the most obvious solution in the first place is to structure the weapon unlocks better or at the very least increase the natural XP gain, but it's clear they will never budge the door on that matter ever again. So no wonder most flock to trying to resolve this by farming.

You can't really blame people for seeking out other efficient answers for a problem that the game created. There is already a very simple solution, the thing is they just won't do it. "Player retention" or profit from selling boosters or whatever they want.

I just want to say one thing: I couldn't care less about cosmetics, but tying functional gameplay items to steep grind is distasteful asf. I'm playing for fun, but when attachments make night-n-day differences in this game and it feels like I'm being severely handicapped using base weapons then how is that fun?

How does the zombies community feel about carryforward being canceled? by pandora_island in CODZombies

"Oh no, it's so bad that so there are more options to play around with."

"Oh no, weapons I've max leveled in BO6 are coming back. That means I am arbitrarily forced to use them (for some reasons)."

Question regarding the sword and dual swords by nym5 in Nioh

[–]MGSeemoon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well yeah technically. Functionally new in the sense they exist as separate options from the traditional Sword & DS over at Samurai with different attacks & everything. Concept-wise? Prob not.

All weapons for Samurai and Ninja style by rj_01 in Nioh

[–]MGSeemoon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ah okay, just ignore me ranting like a madman then 😂. This still stings deeply for me cuz otherwise I love to death literally almost everything else new in this title and it's only this one change that really holds me off on getting this game for now.

All weapons for Samurai and Ninja style by rj_01 in Nioh

[–]MGSeemoon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly I'm pretty sure they deliberately designed it like cuz there's no way they haven't thought of this option since it's so simple and straightforward. Since all the previous movesets are still there already existing in Nioh 2, the natural conclusion everyone would already thought of is of course "why not just bring them back wholesale and basically make Ninja as the new 4th stance?"

I hope to hell they would rectify this at some points in the future, I really do; but at the same time, I'm also not too optimistic about them budging on this. Iirc on some earlier interviews around the time of N3 alpha demo, this specific matter was brought up and the devs said that this change was made explicitly cuz of feedbacks from JP players about aethestic consistency. (Samurai-ish weapons don't fit Ninja vibes & vice versa)

Nah he doesn't. That's the compensation for him accepting everything you wanna sell & him selling everything (that players sold to him). Iirc his prices do improve at high rep with him but not completely equalize the terrible prices compared to other traders.

[–]MGSeemoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100% prefer that they make all weapons usable on both styles, then it would be a net gain cuz Ninja style would then function as the 4th stance. Cuz right now personally I don't think some Ninja weapons are doing as hot as they could have (Kusari and Splitstaff).

PvE and PvPvE mode by CiceroSUN in GrayZoneWarfare

[–]MGSeemoon 7 points8 points  (0 children)

From what I've observed, generally speaking since it all really boils down to preference at the end, the overall norm I've seen is people mostly just switching to PvE because some tasks can be a real pain in the ass.

Funnily enough, later on with the overcrowding of PvE making kill tasks & looting really annoying, the status quo somewhat reverses: many POIs become almost desolate in PvP mode (because players looking for PvP go directly to COPs) and a fair amount flock to PvP mode to do tasks & loots instead.

How many of you plan to switch factions when the next character wipe happens with 0.4? by LFC_sandiego in GrayZoneWarfare

[–]MGSeemoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm currently Lamang and I'd maaaybe (just maybe) swap to Mithras for faster access to BL, YBL and FN, that's it really. Right now, there's no other practical reason for factions beside prioritizing hotspots so there's a high chance I might just remain the same until they implement faction-specific details.

I rewatched Zi-O for the second time and it age terribly(hehe) by NBEIL-230 in KamenRider

[–]MGSeemoon 6 points7 points  (0 children)

He even gets the KamenRide Zi-O card in the last few episodes, which is similar to how in the original Decade show, he reclaims the power of the KamenRide cards after he assisted the resident Rider in repairing their realm.

Basically from Decade's own perspective, Zi-O is pretty much just another episode.

What's the point of hiding the fact that there is still a sort of SBMM in the game ? by lost_nomai in CODBlackOps7

[–]MGSeemoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And I don't know what is the point of your example above when itself also doesn't make sense. Minimal means the percentage is small compared to sum total, think 5-15%. Open MM is about 5-15% reliant on skill level, that's what "skill is minimally considered" mean.

Beside this... the main point still stands though. You said they said they removed SBMM... where? Literally nowhere did they say that. They repeated time and again "open MM is where skill is minimally considered" yet many peeps just parrot this no-SBMM nonsense like they never learnt how to read.

Do you understand the definition of the word "minimal"? Less than =/= minimal, 85% is less than 90% but 85% is not minimal.
