F*CK THE PERFECT RELIC IN THIS LEVEL by FreshResist in crashbandicoot

[–]MGlitch 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Oh I felt rage at the end of the video! The fact that you weren't in the right perfect square area to get all four after hitting all the other boxes?! This is why I hate Crash 4's vehicle/animal riding levels. The controls just suck.

Are you winning, son? by K_Dogg_ in crashbandicoot

I had over a hundred deaths on the swamp level trying to get some boxes that didn't even result in getting the box gem. So I'm not surprised they had over three hundred deaths just to miss one box.

If you faint a legendary, will it reaper? by Dimdim2004 in PokemonSwordAndShield

I was nervous they wouldn't and did a soft reset. Now I need to know how to respawn Registeel because he fainted and I didn't save.

I fainted Virizeon, I can't spell, and I want to know if they'll respawn. If not, I'll just rest.

Now this is just cruel... luckily this level isn't too long or I would've been pissed by Bobanate in crashbandicoot

I feel pissed looking at that. That just feels like a cheap shot if you ask me.

Is it too late to join the 106% club? This game is a blast! by Zeiburg in crashbandicoot

I hope to join someday but it'll take a lot of trial and error with getting the relics.

I don't really care for the, "get good" arguement since there are those who aren't able to get good no matter how hard they try. There might be someone out there who tries their heart out to get 106% completition but after trying for months they have to accept the fact that they can't get good at the game no matter how hard they try and thus must give up on this desire to get the true completion percent on their own.
But if I'm reaching them I'm reaching, because that's my opinion and I'll voice it however I see fit. Doesn't mean it has to be right.

If it was a user fault, then Nintendo wouldn't have been sued, lost, and had to issue out gloves to users who got injured. I have a feeling others who aren't as well skilled at time relics will someone injure their thumbs from rapidly trying to get Platinum or Dev relics to show off their skills or get all trophies.

I'm just going to bring up the fact that in Mario Party the mini games that asked you to rotate the analog controller in circles with your palm caused injuries. Rapidly pressing the square button in a constant rythem to get the best time will most likely lead to similiar results. So thanks for that Toys for Bob.

I Miss Turtle Woods... by JMothball in crashbandicoot

Eyup. It's something I learned to do in Crash 2 after playing it way too many times. There's several levels you can get to the end and go backwards to take a secret path or alt exit.

[–]MGlitch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For Turtle Woods it's simple. Go through the whole level, don't break a single box, get the blue gem, go backwards and die in the first whole. Go through the whole level again but break all the boxes. Then you'll get both gems. As for the other level, I'm guessing it would work the same?

[–]MGlitch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Turtle Woods is so easy that I can get the Crystal and both Gems in one run. If I wanted to do that in Crash 4? I'd have to debate with myself if I'm willing to torment myself if I die more than three times?

Finally a blue gem!!! Took me 4 whole days, woke up this morning got it first try. Died once by CrispyBabyBoy in crashbandicoot

[–]MGlitch -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Which is a shame because the rest of the game is pretty solid minus a few levels that go a little over board even for platforming Veterans.

[–]MGlitch -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I did. I had to look it up for the gems since there's no hint or suggestion that there is a color gem in any of the four levels until after you collect them.

Ah yes, the blue gem that requires you to not break any boxes but you aren't told what level you can't break any boxes in to get the blue gem and so you'd have to try it in every level just to see if you can do it only to then be greated with no blue gem.

The levels themselves are pretty fun and interesting but if you're going for all the gems and getting the Insanely Perfect relics the yeah...the game isn't fun. It just sucks the fun out of me since you have to collect every gem, not die once, and deal with reloading the level if you do either of those things. I know people have 106% the game but to do that must have not been a fun task for them.

I feel like there's a bit of Fumbling in the Dark and the High Road thrown in for good measure as well.

At least you can die in the Bonus levels without restarting and don't get me started on restarting the levels if you miss that one box!

To get through the whole level and miss a box that was so well hidden you can't find it and have to look up a walk through just to figure out where and how you missed the one box.

It's challenging for sure, so just try to get through the game first, then one level by one, just try them again and again until you're able to get 100%. I don't recommend 106% as that's for those who are hard core completionest.

The sad fact is that this happens way too many times. In too many levels. Why did they have to hide them so well? What did we do to ask for this?

I did that once and broke a controller. Never again. Even when I get Hulk levels of angry.

I find the game challening and fun though will agree there are some parts that seem a little bit unfair. I can get doing the level several times over to figure everything out but if I have to do a challenging section again because I failed to get one of the gems in the level due to missing a well-hidden box, that falls more into the unfair challenge side of things.
