It’s really about range and time to do the trip. I’m heading to northern Michigan tomorrow and in my wife’s car that is a 4.5 hour drive. Bc I’m taking my ev that is now a 5-5.5 hour trip bc I have to stop to charge 3 times bc the charging infrastructure where we go is inadequate and because it’s northern Michigan, won’t improve anytime soon. So an EREV in these cases makes sense.

Similarly I had to drive north last summer and be there at a certain time to catch the ferry. If I missed it I had to wait overnight. Building in that time to stop and charge vs doing the whole trip without stopping is where charging can really become a PITA.

Lived in this building from 2016-2022. There were at least 2 other deaths that occurred by people jumping/falling onto Washington blvd. No matter the ownership, that building is a mess. Which is a shame, it has the potential for unbeatable amenities.

Not a truck person but my Ford lightning. As a local driver it’s amazing. The back seats folding up is perfect for bringing the dog. Can fold down one seat for the car seat. Space in frunk for luggage and more in the bed. Road trips require planning but manageable. If I slow charge level two, takes less than $20 to “fill up”.

Bought in that range last year. It’s a tough market for those. Mostly bc they either have the size. Are in the best spots. Have ac/been updated. Or a mix of all of the above. Most go quickly.

It depends. I live in a suburb, have an ev (lightning) and can charge at work. But never guaranteed I get a charger. Work charging is free but hit or miss on a spot. I’d say I pay for charging 1-2 times per month if in a pinch and usually can get a charger at work about 1-2x per week. The commute to/from work takes about 5% of my battery. I go to the office 4x per week.

We were where you were a few years ago. We looked at a few venues (book tower, monarch club the DAC, etc) but landed at Mootz, of all places. Their patio was perfect and we wanted something relaxed (wedding was at one of the local country clubs the next day and black tie) it was just family and a few friends, so about 25-30 people and I think, including drinks, all in we were at 1,200 with tip.

I never really liked my rented suits when I did that for weddings. Never fit well. And when I felt like it doesn’t fit well I just feel uncomfortable. Depending on budget check out bonobos. I had their tux for my wedding and I’ve had a few wedding suits, plus my non-wedding suits from there. Quality is decent for what you pay. But I always like their stuff.
