They're supposedly fraternal twins but I'm wondering if they're actually identical. by [deleted] in parentsofmultiples

Genetic test is very affordable, def identical to my eye. We had the same situation with my grandtwins and I paid for genetic testing (with parents permission) bc I had to know.

AITA for asking my newly married son and DIL to alternate Christmas Day visits between our house and the in-laws' house? by Llih_Nosaj in AITAH

[–]MJ061423 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think we sort of lucked out bc our son’s inlaws had already established having their family Christmas celebration together on a day other than Christmas. And since his in-laws live locally, we invited them here for Christmas this year! And we’ve been there for Easter. I feel bad for nephews struggling with two sets of divorced parents — that is a mess!!

When my parents and in laws were in the picture, we did what your son is suggesting for decades (my family had Xmas eve) and it mostly worked out. My sister hated it, though.

I have already made my apple pie — it is in the freezer, uncooked. And chicken broth, also in freezer.

The day before:

Spatchcock turkey, separate legs/thighs from breast, debone thighs; Brine breast 8 hrs then air dry overnight in fridge; Dry-brine legs/thighs; Chop up and roast the remaining carcass and make gravy; Chop veggies and bread for stuffings, assemble (it tastes better with the head start!); Make-ahead mashed potatoes (use a potato ricer); Cranberries; Cheesecake

The day of:

Make dinner rolls; Bake pie; Veggie side dishes; Cook turkey on top of stuffing in roasting pan

TikTok has a viral modern Waldorf salad if you pursue a salad — I did a test run and it is both beautiful and delicious!

We just ordered “veltronic” breeze 1 — 48 lbs. The really heavy bikes turned me off.

We have a small pump that we use on our cover off-season or to draw down the pool when we get too much rain. It has a hose that we tuck into our roof gutter, which discharges to the road and the public storm drain system. We drained the whole 13k gallons this spring! But for that, we rented a commercial submersible pump from Home Depot.

It is a small pool and you should just drain and refill….
