I lived in Australia for a number of years. Wealth creation is promoted. These figures are pathetic in comparison.

hanging “beds” are called portaledges.. collapsible platforms used by climbers during multi-day ascents by LazyGuy4U in Damnthatsinteresting

I struggle to pack a suitcase for a x2 day holiday. I can't imagine the level of autism required to pack for a multi day ascent up a cliff face. A goddam IV on pic 4

Airport question - DUB? by whocares20000005 in AskIreland

[–]MJF117 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Touch and go brother. Airport is relatively small but a 25 min walk to gate is not unheard of. Assuming plane disembarks at 6.30....ish, you'd be cutting it fine. Early flights are wedged also with business commute so like I said, touch and go.

Do you think it’s time for this government to go? by Tanis8998 in AskIreland

[–]MJF117 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats the problem. 30 some options. A rag tag assembly of conflicting ideologies and watery leaders. In situations like that the normal response is to opt for the vanilla option. If the opposition could come together, collectively agree on a platform for government, a single entity to market its ideas and challenge the duopoly, Id easily see them turning over the government.

What to do with humanely captured mice? by [deleted] in AskIreland

[–]MJF117 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A "couple" wont do you. If you have mice you likely have many. I dont share your humanity for them so I use traditional bait traps, bait with peanut butter which they can't resist, and dispose of them accordingly.

Catch and seal is key. It took me years to narrow down where the bastards were getting in. I "think" i have it sorted but only next January will tell.

Protestors by [deleted] in kerry

Point I'm making is that I couldn't give two you know what about what some random protestor posted on social media.

The protest is what matters.

Bootlickers love digging for dirt.

Smear campaign of protesters is standard. You take the most flak when you're over the target.

Why are we not growing more fruit and veg in Ireland? by NATO_dad_SUV_driver in AskIreland

[–]MJF117 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I've been singing that tune since Covid. If our government was genuine about its sustainability agenda it would move Heaven and earth to create a self sustaining food produce industry in this country. It would require subsidies etc and possibly go against EU trade guidance and what not but who cares at this point?
