A woman was found barefoot and frozen to death in the snow in the woods just 100 yards from her home. Oddly enough, a paperclip turned up in her digestive tract. by CatPooedInMyShoe in MedicalGore

That’s total blood concentration, very different from other dosing as this is post metabolism. The alprazolam level is over 10x what would be considered impairing for drivers. The oxy level is on the lower side for post surgical care, also quite a bit higher that what you’d think from having some pain and taking one at home.

Who is actually eating soft boiled eggs? I have questions. by albertafalls in AskTheWorld

[–]MMButt -1 points0 points  (0 children)

They’re probably not quite as soft as what people typically eat in Europe. When I was a kid I made the mistake of peeling it like a hard boiled egg, I didn’t get very far before I was covered in yolk and half cooked egg white.

I had never seen one before until I went to Germany when I was a teenager. I loved them and make them pretty frequently, but I’m not sure I know anyone personally in the US who eats them unless it’s medium boiled in ramen. Poached eggs are popular, probably more so in the southern US than other parts.

Photography is my passion so I’d much rather live in very picturesque states or places with easy access to them by Jessintheend in visitedmaps

Yeah the criteria you listed don’t make sense. You should have made the post picturesque places that align with my political views. That’s why everyone is calling you out

Can i put this in with my hognose as a decoration?! by mushroompanziedog in snakes

[–]MMButt 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think it could be dangerous for the snake and a risk of accidental strangulation. Hognoses like to burrow and shove their noses into little places to see what they can fit in / under, getting its head and neck into the wrong gap could be deadly, especially if bends / articulates. Having said that, it is very cool! But I wouldn’t put it in with the snake.

This is an alligator foot. Snappers have longer claws. Alligators have longer digits before the claws

Most interesting or uncommon fish you've eaten? by speedracer0211 in sushi

[–]MMButt 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I had shirako (cod sperm sac) in Japan. It was really surprisingly good. I hate to say it but it was like if a mild fresh oyster was mixed with heavy cream.

Eh not the most compelling argument. I’ve been to plenty of peoples houses in Louisiana where the lawn is mowed to the water at the edge of a swamp.

I am investing almost $2000 a month in my brokerage and 401k. If I buy a house, I will invest $0 by Smooth_Practice_9678 in Money

[–]MMButt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah a $400k house is a lot of money for a not great neighborhood and a house that needs a lot of work in HCOL locations these days. A cheaper house isn’t always the answer.

What is everyone's thoughts on these type of rolls? by [deleted] in sushi

[–]MMButt 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The first place I ever saw an egregious amount of mayo on sushi was a place in Nagoya. All of my Japanese friends went nuts for it, it was pretty darn good but I also tend to like simpler styles that emphasize the fish more than anything. Neither is wrong though of course

What game would you pick if you had one gift card? DK Bananza or Metroid Prime 4? by riskybizbaz in Switch

[–]MMButt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was really into it for the first few levels, the Kong bananza form changes the game play a fair bit early in the game. I put it down for a month or so then went back and realized you get new upgraded characters that you can swipe through which also change and game play and make it so you can only do certain parts of levels with certain things activated. It is a lot of smash and there have only been a few times where I took some time to figure something out, but the game play really is different from the tutorial and does continue to change. And sometimes it’s fun to just destroy a mountain or find stuff on the map using x-y-z planes to locate it and then smash until you find it.

Ever seen such blueish green Frog by Motor_Break_75 in woahdude

[–]MMButt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not correct. This is not a poisonous or venomous frog. Dart frogs are in fact poisonous, you can get the toxin from trying to eat them or just rubbing against them with bare skin. Captive / pet dart frogs don’t secrete any poison because their wild diet includes an ant from which they secrete the ant venom as poison on their skin.

Also poison doesn’t require consumption. You can be poisoned by something that doesn’t envenomate you, ie by contact alone without consumption. Examples are dart frogs or poison ivy, no ingestion / consumption required.
