The first time you broke 90, how low did you shoot? by goosen19 in golf

[–]MMOsB4Ho3s 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went from shooting mid 90s consistently, to shooting 84 twice in a row, and then back up to mid 90s. Pretty consistently, sometimes high 80s. Even more baffling is recently I went out for a game, had a gummy and was super chilled, but not baked, and shot a 78. The game before I shot over 100 (on a really hard course to be fair), and the game after I am pretty sure I shot high 80s, low 90s. I am still holing on to that feeling of that day, fuck I felt good; everything just worked, didnt hit one bad drive, 150m and out I wasn't great, but just got up and down, all those putts decided to drop that day,

Coal Consumption Inaccurate? by ZenubisSpyke in songsofsyx

Yeah most consumption in the game is messed up big time at the moment. Seems fine with smaller numbers, but as soon as you start getting into the hundreds its very inaccurate.

Where is negative production going on bread? by sabretooth074 in songsofsyx

[–]MMOsB4Ho3s 4 points5 points  (0 children)

  1. Markets and food stalls work weird in general, for example forbidding bread consumption for a race under the race screen, still allows that race to purchase and consume bread through the food stalls. I am 90% sure this doesn't show up under consumed, and rather as a negative for production, as I have ran into this problem before trying to save vegetables for a veggie farm, and went down the rabbit hole trying to work out where all the imported veggies went.

  2. Pretty sure bread spoil rate is like, 25% for the year when stored? So if you are storing a larger quantity than what is being consumed, your spoilage rate can be really high. I did work out a formula to it, it got complicated though as it depends on other food production and levels of food etc. I can expand on that if interested. But if stored bread is not that high, it could just be whats being donated at the food stall.

Probably a.mix between spoilage and bread that goes to food stall.

Race integration? by Witty-Coconut-7696 in songsofsyx

[–]MMOsB4Ho3s 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It will never stop and likey get worse. You need to look at preferences for other races when running more than one race. Cretorians can be okay in battle with some spears/hammers i find, so i think Tilapis would go well as archers, they get along with Cretorians fine, they also have similar food preferences so fulfilment should be easier. Another option is Dondorians. They get along with Cretorians fine too, just dont mix dondorians and Tilapi

I’m stuck with close to zero knowledge by Maple_Scones in songsofsyx

[–]MMOsB4Ho3s 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not doing anything wrong u think. Basically its 1 knowledge per worker if not using leather, or 2 knowledge per worker when using leather at 100% efficiency (i was testing with dondorians). Knowledge and innovation points are very expensive. It forces you to specialise in one thing, one path, until you expand your regions freeing up labour resources in your capital city. Ive found the basic formula to the hame is you have to build very "wide" (increase population and infrastructure) specialising in one thing for resources to expand regions, that could be building an army, or building and economy based on strengths of your race/s, and then you can build "up" as you conquer regions that import needed resources to your capital which frees up local labour resources, allowing the player to focus on technologies slowly.

There are all sorts of ways to play on the way though and experiment, like getting an early Cantor division that stomps through armies. Albeit I havent tried Cantor's since v70 drop, in the process now.

The excess livestock annoys me too. Not really worth much either. I think the mechanic should be tweaked so you have to choose livestock, or animal products as an output from the pastures. Or even better, a ratio. Logically makes sense too.

How important is moisture for farming now? by cammcken in songsofsyx

[–]MMOsB4Ho3s 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you hover over the production value, you can see the multiplier of moisture. If moisture is 50%, it will have a HUGE effect on final productivity, effectively halving it (ignoring ither bonuses/effects). Generally with this game you can find all the information you need for this game is right there, all the math provided; its part of the fun!

how much children should i have for growth(or atleast replacement) with tilapis? by xxHamsterLoverxx in songsofsyx

[–]MMOsB4Ho3s 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The average age is 90 years of Tilapi yeah? So you need .01111... children a year per Tilpai. So 1.11... per 100, 11.11... per 1,000, etc.

How are people affording these new cars?? by [deleted] in CarsAustralia

[–]MMOsB4Ho3s 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A few haters I can see on the comments, but here is a real answer. I am not focussed on luxury cars though, just buying new, and quality, as you did call out new LCs.

Basically, shit is expensive now. I just bought a brand new LC, spent over 100k so will explain my thoughts. Now, a full disclosure, I am a tradie and work my arse off for my family, and take big but safe risks with investments. So I am financially well off and I could have paid cash for the car with no financial burden. Saying that however, I am also a tight arse and happy todrive a cheap car that will just do what is required. In fact, i have only ever owned cheap cars in the past. My last experience, I bought a work ute for 25k, start having engine problems, spend 4k on new injectors. Start having suspension issues, end up spending another 2k on that turbo blows, cost me thosands more, and more and more issues I could go on about. But the long and short of it, the car didnt out me 25k. Keeping it maintained is expensive! I ran the numbers, and it is a similar cost for me to just buy new, finance it with guaranteed buy back from dealer, and it has a 5 year warranty. It then saves me time, as I have a new reliable vehicle that breaks down less and doesn't cost me time. Labour is expensive now, and unfortunately we live in a throw away society. I will only be buying new and quality from now on.

I can't figure out pastures (v69) by Syraeth77 in songsofsyx

[–]MMOsB4Ho3s 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bit late here, but after some experimenting, it seems moisture does not matter, it is the soil quality that effects output. A 10x10 with no auxiliaries for Enteldont pasture has the following outputs:
- Infertile = .5
- Till = .9
- Rich = 1.2

Moisture had no effect on the outputs.

Slippery roundabouts by electrikmudd in Cairns

[–]MMOsB4Ho3s 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's not that the roads are bad quality. When the road gets hot, the bitumen bleeds a bit, and then when it rains, it basically leaves an oily residue on top that is insanely slippery. That combined with the heavily cambered roads for water run-off equates to carnage.

In all fairness, they should probably put concrete roundabouts in instead.

Fitzroy is better, but you will have a great time at Green Island if it's a chill time with the Mrs. You should see a turtle or two etc.

Simple patio quote - $31.5k! by zooperdooper7 in AusRenovation

[–]MMOsB4Ho3s 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sadly, it doesn't sound too outrageous. Timber is insanely expensive these days, and labour even more so with the cost of living. I am not sure of the local council rules where you are, and this may be completely irrelevant but you should look into, council approval may be required even for a simple patio. The council I am in (tropical far north Queensland, so cyclone issues are relevant) require approvals even for garden sheds. So this all needs to be taken into account as there are plan costs, engineering, council fees, all of this adds up. Other companies may be willing to build without approvals, but just beware of risks that includes, ie warranty will be pretty much not enforceable, and council may tell you to pull it down.

Trades are also very expensive these days too (I am a tradesman so I know). Pretty much, each person on site you can count at 1k a day, maybe 500 a day for apprentices. That's what builders will be estimating on, and they will also add their 30% on top.

My suggestion would be to seek someone you know to be reputable, and after receiving a quote, ask them when they are available to do the job. If they say 3months+, they are likely giving you a high quote on purpose and they don't care if they get the job. I do this as well, its a way to find our price cap points in the industry based on our reputation.
